Great Village Restaurant in Blackburn with Darwen

visited the restaurant this evening and got to be said how amazing it was. the food was incredible and the staff just Brilliant, thanks so much. we will be back 😀

Very pleasantly surprised with everything, the banquet is great value and very tasty, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is spotless. Highly recommended for eat-in and takeaway.....

Just had delivery from here what can I say .... Well 4 empty plates and an upset dog 🙈!!!Food came bang on time, food was hot and delicious we got ribs to start and they just fell off the bone no fatty gristly bits . The curry and other food was just as good definitely will be back ⭐⭐.

ordered for a certain time an hour & 40 minutes later it turned up after three phone calls to then receive no s & p chip which I paid for and an extra rice instead to ring and be told sorry no potatoes left 😂 no phone calls to ask if we wanted something extra or instead of disgusted customer service returned the food to be shouted at at the counter will never return again shameful, all the decorating In the world won’t make you money in there

Expensive (£9.40 for chicken fried rice and curry sauce) but amazing food and nice inside for a casual meal

We have visited twice now since new owners took over. Both times have been excellent. The last time was New Years Eve. Collected at time specified. Everything was piping hot and well presented. Beef chow mein was the best I have had for a long time and the curry sauce was so tasty. A portion of spring rolls were also delicious. It was so nice to meet all of the owner's family as well. Look forward to you reopening in mid-January.

Updated with review under the new owners - takeaway option (Covid restrictions & New Year's Eve)Would give it 9/10.Came 10 mins early.Various starters & main course which were excellent.Only letdown was the smallest bag of Prawn Crackers you've ever seen in your life & rice didn't look too good but was very tasty.Older review:Excellent Chinese food served at a leisurely pace with plenty of friendly chat with owner & staff between courses.Fully recommended!

After being told delivery would be a 2 hour wait we agreed. When the food was meant to arrive at 8.30 pm we rang and they said 15 extra minutes. Ended up waiting an extra hour. So 3 hours for delivery in total.Rang and asked is there any way of discount for this error on your part. They just said no. Then gave us a outlet of Pepsi to apologise. Poor customer service and won't be using again. Food was OK but not worth the expense as its priced higher than other Chinese reseraunts in my opinion

Always had the best experience. Sadly the restaurant has now been sold and new owners coming soon. Had my last meal there this evening. Been going over 30 years. The end of an era. Good luck to the new people
