Holly Tree Fish And Chips in Blackburn with Darwen

Really good quality food and freshly prepared. Unfortunately I find alot of local chippies have gone down hill lately but this one has only got better. The food is always tasty and hot. They offer so many great items that others don't such as John bulls and rag puddings (both of which I would highly recommend trying especially the rag pudding). Best gravy in Blackburn by far. Great staff aswell

No Holland's steak and kidney puddings left(this was 17:30 hrs) had to wait 15 mins from giving my order in and paying, two school girls taking orders and money, then another lass cane from the back to help out, that's when everything went pear shaped, confusion reigned for a good five minutes. Once that as sorted out customers started getting their orders. Prices are on the expensive side of things.

Great food, great prices. Best to order over the phone and best up as it's always very busy (sign of a good chippy)

Just been and got told 10 mins as my husband ordered black pudding , fine with this as not something they will cook a lot . But 20 people must of left with food after this time and we was still waiting for me to go and ask and to be told just doing it now .... Which 2 more orders were given not ours !!! 45 mins we waited infact last ones in the shop . Would rather be told the truth . Was a shame a food was good but service was shocking I don't write reviews bit this was that bad I had to in this time could of cooked myself ..

Fish not bad but greasy dabs also, service poor and at a price Over twenty two pounds . Expected better from a federation member.

Always had excellent fish and chips from Holly Tree chippy, I would highly recommend this chippy for anyone who loves f and chips.

The food was ok but the 2 young girls serving were clueless and short changed me, rectified once I questioned it

The last three times I have been it has deteriorated every time. Had an awful fish this time,very small,very thin and batter well over cooked. Used to be a great chippy but I won't be going back.

Unfortunately the last 4 visits have gone worse. Getting orders correct and prompt seems difficult I waited 45 minutes they overlooked my order not long ago. Batter too thick and not crispy (especially when lightly done was ordered). Chips 3 times tasteless whereas they were delicious, below average. The last meal was the last visit even though I have been coming for 5 years. It's been declining and unfortunately can't keep throwing 75% of food away.
