Observatory Hotel in Blackburn with Darwen

I lived it in the Observatory, I walked in with my dog (9 month old springer spaniel) we were welcomed with a bowl of water and a dog treat too, had a couple of pints of San Miguel, really good clean lines and crisp ice cold beer, I'll definitely be visiting again next time I'm over that way.

Great tasting beer and prices not too bad. Pool table could do with a recloth but other than that, very enjoyable experience.

My wife, son and his girlfriend were considering finding somewhere to go for a Sunday Lunch on a lovely Sunday afternoon. we considered the many 'country pubs' near to us but my dad suggested the Observatory and I am glad he did.We all had a lovely and plentiful Sunday Roast, freshly prepared, with two types of potatoes and three veg. All this for an amazing GBP16.00 for two meals and served by happy, smiling staff...Unfortunately I do not live in the UK but the next time I visit I will be sure to revisit The Observatory. My father on the other hand lives within three miles of the pub and assures me he will be visiting again soon!
