Haven’t been in for years, nice decor, prompt service and really good food. Will definitely call in again.

Very busy but still speedy service with a smile from all the staff . Had the roast beef sunday roast which included 3 veg and beef that melted in the mouth , plus proper chips like mom used to make . Best roast around 10 out of 10 .

Good home made food at reasonable price. Very busy on the Sunday l visited. Book to ensure to get a table.

My 2nd time having lunch at The Ranken Arms with friends and both occasions, welcoming staff and environment, first class. Friendly, helpful table service, meals provided freshly served within a reasonable time, piping hot and delicious.We all tried different meals from the menu and all equally enjoyable.Definitely a place you could take any friends for a real treat.Five stars to all, management, chief, kitchen staff and bar staff.VERY WELL DONE, APPRECIATED EVERYONE'S EFFORTS, making this venture such a success.William Gareth Edwards.

Visited tonight (20-1-2022) Staff were really great especially Georgia and the girl on food service who was extremely smiley and wonderful with my two toddlers. Food was delicious and portion sizes were great, would highly recommend eating here.The owners should be very proud of having such an inviting pub and having such happy staff . 5 stars easy

Visited for lunch with my Grandpa. The Ranken was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Plenty of choice on the menu and the portion sizes were perfect. The staff were constantly checking that everything was OK and couldn't have been more helpful. Used the female toilets and was a nice touch that complimentary sanitary products were left in a basket. Live events held on most evenings from reading the various posters. Will definitely be returning for lunch again. I would recommend booking beforehand.

Really enjoyable meal, pleasant staff, and well priced with good portion sizes. We'll certainly be coming back. Best to ring and book first as it seems very popular. I expected to be able to walk in, but rang in advance earlier in the day and got the last table of 4 at that time. No delay from the kitchen though even being full, and even saw someone coming in to take away.

Just enjoyed our first family meal out in 2022. What a way to start the year. Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere and the most delicious food, homecooked and fresh. We all chose something different from the menu and left all our plates clean. Would highly recommend to our family and friends.

Sunday roast. Beef was so soft and tender, Yorkshire pud, mash, roast potatoes and veg. All served piping hot. Had to have a pud, even though I was full. The sticky toffee pudding and custard was superb. Well worth the money. Will be back. Nice pub, lovely staff, food delicious. 👍👍👍

Dropped in with my elderly mother for lunch. We was so well looked after by everyone. My mother doesn’t have the biggest appetite but was reassured straight away that if she wanted to take the rest of her sandwich home it’s wasn’t a problem. The food was very fresh and very tasty.
