The Chippery in Blackburn with Darwen

Charged ten pound for two portions of sausage chips and curry sauce when we had ordered two cans of coke with the food which they tried telling us we never ordered when it was said loud and clear when challenged about this she said she only charged for chips and curry twice on menu it states £3.70 so why for two people was it ten pound with no drinks that we ordered customer service is shocking and I wouldn’t recommend this place. Walls are dirty ceilings falling to bits in places waited at least 15 mins for food and when biting into sausage bits was cold and hard dirty looks given from staff when we tried to talk about the order and small portions you need to learn as a business how to treat customers and look into their issues instead of overcharging and being arrogant never what it used to be when an old woman run the place

Not great looking building on the outside but the fish, chips and curry where great. Been going here on and off for 30 years. Never had a bad meal!

Very good, fresh and crispy food, S&V your food perfectly (and hen asked for plenty) clean environment, polite staff, family (pram and wheelchair) friendly

Very good food, only criticism is that I ordered coffee and didn't get one. Staff are friendly but have limited English so they struggle to understand sometimes what your asking for.

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips you cannot get better anywhere I’ve eaten in some top restaurants all over Lancashire I never had fish and chips like it me and my neighbour go at least twice a week great service and a lovely family run businessKeep up the good work guysRegards Simon bates

We use the chippery fairly regularly, when we do not have time to sort out tea, on each occasion we have been quite satisfied with what we have bought, the only thing I would say is that the portions are good, so it may be that one portion of chips may be sufficient for two people, if they have small appetites, I would certainly recommend the shop!

Best fish and chip and peas OMG so tasty and filling . But they need to change the size of the portion can't finish the plate

Good food and very good and polite service. Wheelchair accessible on request. I had fish and chips; the fish fillets were prepared fresh in open view and the chips made fresh from a whole potatoes per portion.
