The Postal Order like most of the Wetherspoons portfolio looks the business from the outside but unfortunately fails once you walk in. Usually there is nice decor and architecture in their establishments but this one feels more like a social club and lacks the 'spoons' feel. It would have got 2 stars if I was judging it on that but I've given it 5 stars purely on the quality of food and the service the staff provided. The food arrived piping hot within 10 minutes and the request for 'well done' chips was fulfilled. Both the meals, chicken tikka & fried chicken buttermilk burger were outstanding & delicious and the constant noticeable staff around to attend to customers was great to see. A busy pub with mostly regulars but would recommend it for just the food alone 10/10 👏👏👏

Arrived after 24 hrs of travel and wanted a quick meal.Centrally located in town.Easy to order at the bar. Quick service from an extensive menu. I had a tasty chicken curry and a good pint of English beer to go with it. Enjoyed the food which was well presented.

Very nice inside, clean toilets but wow you have to climb a lot of stairs! Good food and drink, reasonably priced, friendly staff.

Probably the worst Wetherspoons I have ever been too. At 8.45am on a Sunday morning all the tables were absolutely disgusting. Had to clean our table so asked the only member of staff on for cleaning products was met with such attitude. Christ I'm doing you a favour. She then disappeared into the side to play on here phone. Cutlery was filthy was old food still stuck to it. Asked for new and again attitude. Tables were left full of plates for they whole time were we there. Not recommended at all

Getting a bit tired looking now. Fair prices and good service. Friendly staff. Though some of the customers are interesting to observe.

When visiting I noticed there was a large selection of wines and beers, but the meals had fewer options with a smaller menu. Despite the fact that the design is a little old, the staff is really informed and pleasant. I had a wonderful supper here as well, with hot food and prompt service👍.

A very Busy Wetherspoons But we had Drinks n Food We all enjoyed our visit

Nice, spacious pub with plenty of seating. Staff were friendly and food arrived quickly after ordering through the spoons app. Steaks were cooked nicely and food was hot. Table was clean and not 'typical spoons sticky'. Can't give 5 stars on this occasion because after paying extra for an extra egg, it was not brought to the table. It wasn't the easiest to get hold of staff but once I did they handled the situation quickly and well.
