Visited with my grandchildren on a Saturday afternoon we were made very welcome by the staff and landlord a lovely friendly place with superb food and surroundings. Next time will take advantage of the close by roddlesworth woods.

This place is our go to!The food has been amazing everytime and the portion sizes are perfect. We never have room for dessert which is a shame since the homemade cakes look tasty! My fiance said its the only place that pours a decent ale too.The staff are so friendly and very welcoming. Such a lovely atmosphere, wish we lived closer so we could have a few drinks in the evening.

Stopped here for a morning coffee however I decided to have the full English breakfast. It was without doubt the best full English ever. The waitress was welcoming and friendly. The pub is dog friendly and you can take your dog inside or outside if you wish. It's on my "go back to list" The prices are very reasonable and the food is top quality. Will be back soon

I imagine in summer you'll need to book just to get a beer here! Lovely pub and the food is good quality pub grub. Take the dogs for a walk nearby and the pub is dog friendly so happy to have dogs inside or in the seating area outside. (Our dogs love the chips!)Staff very friendly and helpful. We go here after every dog walk and can't see that ever changing!

Really friendly pub. Came for my Grandma's birthday and all of the staff made her feel very welcome. Steak and ale pie is lovely

We have been a few times here and brought friends from out of town. They were extremely impressed with the value and quality of the Roast Pork Sunday Lunch, £8.95 and it was better than ones twice that price. Lovely sunny table, the staff always recognise you, dogs welcome ! Can’t fault as always, much appreciated, first sunny day of the year and staff busy and still still smiling, no wonder people flock 👌

Booked for Sunday lunch and was seated promptly, we ordered roast beef and it came quite quickly, but the roast potatoes were so hard that I physically couldn't get my fork in them for a while, they were really salty when I did manage to. The beef was chewy but tasted ok. The veggies were nice and the gravy was lovely. I do think the Yorkshire pudding was a frozen one which is disappointing. We ordered sticky toffee pudding for afters and waited about 30-40 mins... When it came it was stone cold, we told the waitress who was very nice, she agreed and got us new ones. They were hot but a bit hard. It's a shame because I've been in once before for just drinks and it felt totally different, the staff were really lovely but this time it felt like they were too busy for uly was filled with walkers and people for drinks.

After a lovely walk, it was so nice to stop at such a delightful pub for some delicious food. The cheese pie and chips were home made and made to perfection. My friend had the fish and chips which she was as equally pleased with. The pub has recently been renovated to a high standard. The staff very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be calling in again.

Called in here for breakfast before walking up to jubilee Tower. The service was excellent, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent, along with a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going back for more.Forgot to mention the Great outdoor seating area if you're out with the dog 🐕
