I was looking forward to my chicken Tikka masala but it was off the menu today - hopefully not for long. However, the need for a nice curry was not to be denied so with some trepidation (it's shown as four peppers in strength as opposed to two with the masala) I ended up ordering the beef madras with just the rice and a side order of chips. I was not disappointed and will struggle next time - and there WILL be a next time - to decide between the two. Well done Wetherspoons, I've eaten in your restaurants in numerous towns and cities and have yet to be disappointed.

Burnt burgers dry and crunchy. What's the point of complaining if they let these out of the kitchen in the first place. Won't be back.

Superb place. Building is amazing. Booze cheep as chips and happy staff! What more would one want?

I go here most weeks as it is one of my absolute favourite places to relax and have a drink in Darwen. The staff are so nice and friendly, always smiling even when it is absolutely rammed and they're working their socks off. The atmosphere is brilliant, it has a wonderful buzz to it and a real mix of people just heading out for a night out or finishing off with a night cap. Plus, the building you are surrounded by is gorgeous with some lovely artwork that really complements the theme. Obviously it goes without saying that the prices are super cheap for both the food and drink as it is a Weatherspoons, but this certainly isn't reflected in the quality. The food is really well prepared and tasty and the drinks are made very well too, again a testament to how good the staff are at both the front and back of the house. I really can't recommend this place enough and if I'm out drinking in Darwen I will always make sure I come here for at least one. Can't wait till the next time I visit!

Visited while passing through Darwen. What an absolute stunning building! They have done a fantastic job and shows in this majestic building and its interior. It doesn't feel like an old chapel but has more of a library feel about it with its floor above, where the kitchen and further seating areas are situated. Also upstairs infront of the stunning stained glass windows, there is artwork and paintings on display which add character to this historic building. We never dined here so can't comment but the hot chocolate was a delight. Lots of open floor space with tables and also comfy couches. Parking is limited outside but there are a few just outside if you are lucky. Nice visit and would recommend.

Food was lovely! The only thing that I didn't like. There are too many tables downstairs and no clear walk ways. I had to move furniture to enable my daughter to pass through with her walking frame to get to a table
