A nice enough pub for drinking and eating establishment inside Coral Island, the biggest and fanciest of the amusement arcades on Blackpool's promenade. The Buccaneer certainly looks the part outside and inside. I had some food here years ago, and I recall it being okay enough, not outstanding. What is slightly annoying is the claim of serving fine ales, all I could see were tap beers. Ales are cask, not tap.

We visited yesterday for the first time. We had a burger each and at £9.75 for the burger and chips I was expecting it to taste ok, at least. The chips were cold and hard. The burger didn’t taste as a standard cheese burger should and was not edible. I was starving but couldn’t eat this meal. My husband ate the bread from the burger and stomached the chips because he was so hungry. My daughter refused to eat the fish fingers and chips, she’s almost 1yo. The chips were so hard there was no way we were allowing her to eat then anyway. I spoke to the manager and requested and received one. I won’t be returning for food again. The customer service we received when I complained about the food was much better than the food tasted though! Not only that but the drinks (Diet Coke and full fat coke) were watered down too. I returned the coke to the bar to be told they’d do a new one and were aware of the problem. Again, the customer service was good.

Been in here many times over the years and I really like it. The only problem is the manager seems to regularly hold interviews, staff meetings and I've even heard him give a member of staff a warning all in view and ear shot of the customers. Its boring and so is he. He really likes the sound of his own voice. Pick a better time and place.

Went friday teatime so busy. I had burger and chips. The wife had gammon and chips. She said her gammon was nice and it looked it. My burger was ok but only had about 15 chips. All in all it came to ÂŁ28.10. We worked it out that our cokes were ÂŁ3.70 each which is a bit steep.

Amazing food! I found there wasn't much choice but that may just me. I had a vegetarian main dish called broccoli and cheese pasta bake. Amazing. Chips are great too. Nice staff.

We have been twice and never failed, small que to go in at busy times as expected. Staff spot on, food was great for fish and chips and steak which were cooked fresh. Asked for extra mayo as bottle ran out and was given a new one promptly. Recommended food place for families

Some staff helpful, some staff rude. I am disabled and I wanted to sit in a comfortable change. The member of staff was in the middle of cleaning the table and she said quite rudely you need to move as I am cleaning. No please or thank you. She could of don't it with out us moving

Was in Blackpool for the weekend with my 2 sisters. Decided to try this bar for tea on the Saturday. Fab service and great welcome. Sisters had sirloin steak and I had chicken. We were all very impressed with the food. We had to try Sunday lunch ! Despite being really busy we were seated promptly.and the carvery was utterly devine. 👌disappointed.

Food was surprisingly good, we had the Sunday carvery. Extremely good value for money, and tasty! However the gentlemen who was serving meat today (15.8.21) was rude, abrupt and seriously needs to consider a non customer facing role, ruined what would have been a really nice lunch stop. Real shame, should have been so much better.
