Over charged, plus...the kids meal, 3 chicken nuggets wasn't enough for our daughter. so we asked if we could have a few more. We got 4 at a cost of 45p each. Scandalous

Perfectly fine for a quick bite to eat, staff are friendly, cafe is clean and my sausage,(x3) chips and baked beans was absolutely okay and a bargain for £5.49.Think a lot of the folk moaning about the place expect fine dining at rock bottom prices. You get what you pay for..I did and I have no complaints

Staff were very rude not bothering with customers. Asked for onions on my baked potato n got hot dog onions. No butter offered. Chill was bland and dried up. Rice tastles. Wish we read reviews before entering as I wouldn’t have bothered going in. My advice would be dont bother.

First time in this place last night Saturday 16th October 2021,but will not be going again absolutely miserable staff , food Luke warm very bland , fish well that’s if you could find it for batter & full of grease, In considerate people coming in leaving the door open every time, not one member of staff shut that door, my husband got up from the table 3 times to close it & grandson once, while we sat having our tea, need a shake up in staff very soon.

It’s very rarely I object to food. Generally in most places like this you can see what you’re paying for before you taste it and in general it’s adequate to fill you up. This place was no different. What I object to is service and it’s remarkable how little attention is paid in staff recruitment or training. Inattentive staff, miserable staff, lazy or rude staff. This cafe has made the distinction based on gender. The ladies in here (of all ages) were lovely. The men the opposite. I wanted a chocolate muffin for my daughter who’d come in especially to have one. There were none available but, on asking if there were any elsewhere, the young lady serving tried her best to locate one. Not being successful she asked an older balding man to help out. Big mistake. The sun went behind the clouds. He scowled then repeatedly asked me very impatiently which type I wanted (three types apparently). I said whichever was easier - trying to be helpful. He then pulled one out slammed it on the counter and stormed off without looking at me. The girl looked at me using the ‘I have to put up with this all day’ sort of look. Poor thing. The man serving the previous day’s breakfasts had been equally impatient and unhelpful.A pity and I would suggest training for the men (preferably by the women) but I doubt it would improve them.Suffice to say I’ll reserve my money and recommendations for elsewhere.

Terrible food! £1 for a slice of toast but fried bread free? A joke.. stick to McDonald's over the road. Partner has allergies and they put food on your plate before asking if you want. Overpriced.. tiny portions.

Very poor, myself husband, and son, I had lasagne and potato was cold, wasn't happy with the food, my husband had steak. Potato was cold vegetables was cold, my son had burger and chip which was cold, not worth the money it cost and they wanted. To warm them up, not happy with Peggy's food at all, was disgusting would not recommend it, used to be really nice, not no longer, Pat

There needs to be a choice of 0 stars.I wish I hadn’t bothered. The food was just inedible! I got the gammon Sunday roast and just couldn’t eat it. My 1 year old who normally wolfs down pasta refused to touch it. It was all cold and it had clearly been sat for hours. Left my food and went to the burger place attached.
