Shovels in Blackpool

It was a decent meal. Went to another pub before hand, which had stopped serving food, so ended up at The Shovels - never eaten in there before, food was delucious. Me and my mate both wanted the 8oz steal on the mixed grill which would of cost extra at the first pub anyway... but Shovels do an XL Mixed Grill for only a couple of quid more which had the 8oz steak included. Bargain!

Flame grilled bacon and cheese burger..... got for starters first time here and well service busy and staff superb! (Please remember the cheese next time i come in)

Enjoyed a meal with family whilst me and my partner are visiting from Leeds. Absolutely superb food was spot on we enjoyed it that much we have booked to come back before we leave. Cheryl and Andrea were great too nothings too much trouble which is refreshing. And even better that it’s dog friendly.

No snacks or skewers available. But the food we all ordered arrived quickly and was delicious. Child's meal is great value for money and unlike other places we have been to the plate wasn't hot to touch so our daughter could eat from it straight away. Fast service at the bar and also via the app.

You can take your dog I'm any part of the pub, food came out really quickly and was fresh, inexpensive and tasty.Good atmosphere in the evening, quiz nights Sat and they even do doggy birthday parties!Staff really polite and helpful.Good local pub

We went on Friday for Dinner with my wife and daughter. Excellent meal, great friendly staff we all enjoyed it, we will be coming back. We had samples of the Real Ales from Karen the Land Lady which was greatly appreciated. I had the Gammon absolutely superb!!!

Great staff, food and clean. Definitely found a new place that we will visit regularly. The quality of staff interaction, service and food quality was like going back 20yrs when food tasted great and you felt relaxed and a valued customer well done all involved in running this place.we visited last Sunday 23 Jan 2021

Been a few times before but went for the brunch today.Off to a rocky start as we were the trial run but management gave us an extra 10 minutes off the till for the inconvenience. Would go again 100%, the management and staff came up each time to made sure we had enough drinks. Well got our monies worth would and would definitely go again for their brunch offer!!Thank you very much to all the staff!

Hi, on our way home to Hampshire/Surrey in our Motorhome my wife and I stopped here intending to stay 1 night before starting our long journey, the manager had said we could park overnight, which was great news. Staff were so welcoming, food was really good and great price, especially the golden years menu The 1 night became 2 then 3. We both enjoy a game of pool, and staff even sanitised the table and cue for us. We intended to head home, and then as we felt so welcome and enjoying ourselves, we stayed another few nights. We would like to thank the management and staff, and hopefully we will be going back to Blackpool as soon as possible and our first stop will be the Shovels, Billy + Doris.

We went to Shovels for our tea on New years eve. The atmosphere was so good we stayed the night.The food was perfect. We ordered the 32oz Rump steak challenge and even though my wife and I shared it we still struggled.My Wife enjoyed the pink gin doubled up for just £1.50 (Can't fault that) and me the driver tried to enjoy a pint of shandy.The service was spot on and made this choice of venue the perfect night out.
