Spice Grill in Blackpool

Not been for a while, I was looking forward to a lovely meal...and how disappointing...

Not had a meal from Shapla for a while. This was our favourite take away for many years. Ordered a meal tonight and was very disappointed, standards have certainly slipped! 2 tandoori meals, no mint sauce with them, only one salad, should have been 2. Poppadom was just like the ones I buy from Aldi, (used to be massive from Shapla) and the chicken tokra was very dry, overcooked. Tandoori grill was much smaller than it used to be, and the chicken didn't look too healthy. Was not like this when Taf was there, bring him back!!!!

I've tried every Indian takeaway and every Indian restaurant in Blackpool, St Anne's and Lytham. I could eat Indian food for every meal of the day. Shapla Spice has been my go to place for over 10 years. I sometimes try other places just for a change but I always come back to Shapla, it's the only place that can make a very spicy curry without giving me stomach ache the next day, I don't know how they do it but I imagine it is to do with the care they put into making their food. Try the food, you won't be disappointed but be patient for delivery because they get very very busy.

Ive tasted two good currys from there fantastic service. Lovely delivery driver... From brummy pauls.. Mate.. Lol paul was right simply delicious and was delivered hot worth a treat

Have used Shapla a couple of times now and found them to be excellent quality and consitent. I collect the order and noticed that the shop and kitchen are very clean and modern. Lots of staff and they know what they are doing. Everything was double checked for my order. Food quality is so fresh and of restaurant standard. Hygene rating is 5*. One of the best takeaways in the area.

This is the best Indian takeaway in Blackpool. The food is always cooked fresh for each order and they use proper ingredients not this pre-packed cubed stuff. Never had a bad curry or delivery from here. Sometimes it can take bit longer than initially stated but that is rarely and if does then it's at the weekend when it's at it's busiest. This is acceptable as it's worth the wait. The staff are always friendly in the shop as well as the delivery driver's.
