We decided to visit this restaurant after a wonderful day at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. We were absolutely appalled by the service the minute we walked through the door, the women serving were so rude and unbothered. Considering this place is called the Happy Haddock - the atmosphere was extremely miserable. The food is overpriced and an absolute joke. I ordered the fish and it was so greasy that when I squeezed the batter it was dripping out and my partner ordered the jumbo sausage meal which was shockingly small - it was a breakfast sausage served on top of chips - and not even battered. We also ordered a slush but they may as well call it a snow cone, the ice is so thick and the flavouring lasts for two seconds. There was no sauce available and the place is generally dull and unclean. We will never make the mistake of visiting this terrible food place again, absolutely disgusting.

Really bad service. The name is ironic actually because there's nothing happy about this lot. Service with a scowl. Takes ages to be served food. Overpriced. Food wasn't horrible but also wasn't amazing. I ordered a baked potato because I was on a diet and asked for it without butter but it came with butter. Definitely wouldn't return it's a joke.

Terrible service times and the food all had a funny taste. Would definitely not dine again

Honestly, I am rather disappointed in the service of this shop. It's my first time going there with my family and the staff is really unfriendly and further more racist too. I've kindly asked for a cup of hot water or a new cup of hot tea as it was served mildly warm and they declined my request rudely. I was astonished by their response. The food also tasted terribly even though it was really expensive too. The hygiene was rather maculate as we had to wipe the tables our selves. I know that I won't be going there next time.

I even would like to give them a zero star for the way they treat us. That’s so racist. Food was so expensive to compare to other. My lil brother has nearly finished his wrap from Mcdonal and he HAS TO LEAVE TO FINISH THEM. Even we did paid nearly £60 for the food. They are bloody unfriendly

Went here with the family while on a day out at blackpool. The restaurant was very clean and prices very fair. The food was brilliant, the fish I had was Very tasty and the family loved their food too. Will definitely be back

Really clean, the staff are super friendly and polite, and the food is good and hot. They don't rip you off price wise either.

Whenever I’ve gone to Blackpool within the past 10 years I always stop here for sausage and chips, in my eyes one of the best places in Blackpool to get anything besides the sea. The service here is extremely friendly as well and I have absolutely no complaints.

Great indoor fish and chips shop on South pier, also offers foot long hotdogs and foot long chocolate eclairs. As well as soup of tge day with a bread roll for a reasonable £3.50. Certainly worth a visit especially if it starts raining. Plenty of other foods also available as well as a kids menu.
