The Squirrel Pub & Carvery in Blackpool

The carvery was lovely today. We have visited before and it has been dry and as though it's been stood for a while. I wanted a burger but there wasn't any available. My son wanted chicken nuggets, but there was none left. We made do with alternatives. We ordered strawberries and cream for dessert. But got cookie and ice cream. By this time we were too tired to complain! Everything was lovely, just disappointing that we couldn't get what we wanted. Particularly when it was so quiet.

Had Sunday carvery very good. had the gammon and beef. Meat portion was excellent very well cooked. Self service on the sides could not fault it for the price. Would seriously recommend!!!. Have also had the takeaway delivery still excellent hot food!!

Visited this evening for Sunday lunch with my young family. On arrival Colette greeted us with a warm welcome. Quickly came over to say hello & handed both the children an egg to colour and some colouring crayons. Check back done in a timely manner. Lovely atmosphere that has been set by Colette & Mary.

It's very sad to have to write this however I did mention to a staff member that the food was not nice and cold whilst I was still there, but it seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.The meat was dry the veg, potatoes were cold the so called gravy was more like treacle.Everything seemed like it had been out for hours with no refreshing it up.My friend and I was so looking forward to enjoying our meal however we we're very badly let down.This is our usual local pub but sadly think we will now be eating elsewhere.

Great food and fantastic service from Colette and Reece. Nothing was too much trouble and we were even given a take away box to take my little boys pizza home as he hadn’t finished it. We’ll def be back again xx

Staff were all really friendly and welcoming.At 1st meat on carvery deck didn't look very appealing was all looking dry. The chef did bring a fresh joint of gammon out which was really nice and the beef did end up been really nice. Disappointed there wasn't any more fresh stuffing as what was left was like rock and was told they had no more even though it was only 6.00pm.All in all though the food we did have was lovely so can't complain.

Won't be back. Used to be really nice. Now. Carvery was truly shocking. Tasted like it had been out there for a week. Main issue was the staff. If your expecting service with a smile forget it. Felt like I was putting them out by being there. Went in happy. Left felt like I needed valium to cheer me back up. Shame to see what was a nice place go down hill. Review not based on one visit but the last few. Would never leave a negative review normally but this place kinda deserved it

Had a slight mishap on one occasion, but every other time it has been brilliant. What is good is they take on board feedback and they do care to give you the customer experience you expect, and that shows. Brilliant food tonight, excellent service and it remains our fave place for a top notch carvery. Plus the millionaires slice is the best 😍 thank you the Squirrel staff and management x

Staff are all friendly and are eager to help.Food is great, the pizzas and calzone are always top notch! Decently priced too.Only downside is the app is quite slow when ordering, although this is not the staff/pubs fault.

Had our Xmas day lunch here, it was brilliant. Staff were efficient and attentive. Food was hot and very tasty. Would recommend this pub for any meal
