Allens Fried Chicken - Chorley Old Road in Bolton

This place has a lot of negative reviews, I tried it twice now - both times the food was nice. Slightly expensive and the taste doesn't warrant a 5* review but would recommend if you're in the area and want a quick takeaway. Customer service is great 👍

Nice simple fried chicken!Forgot to give me my chips for 1 meal, hence 1 star taken off.Otherwise good food, nice breading, crunch, etc.

First visit to this place after being massively disappointed several times at another "fried chicken" outlet.Wow it was bloody amazing, the chicken pieces and wings were so tasty and tender, not dry at all, freshly cooked and everythin still hot after driving 4 miles home.Friendly service and value for money.Will definitely go back 100%

I ordered this at 1:05 it said it was supposed to be here at 1:25-1:45, I received this order at 2:30. I proceeded to call the restaurant as it was taking so long. The only nice thing about this order was the DELIVERY DRIVER!!!!!!!

Used to be a lot better but the new owners got rid of a lot of the old staff who'd been there years and its definitely dropped in quality. Wings are usually greasy and bland. The chips are basically the only thing I'd recommend.

Rate Allen's to be better than kfc, especially their chicken Gravey, would recommend it and you'll will agree with me. The branch at Bolton, staff are friendly and will go the extra mile for you and give there honest opinion.

If you're looking for friend chicken then this is place to go. By far the best Allen's out of all of them and it's extremely consistent. I always order from here and I'm looking forward to ordering again. Thank you for the great service every time.

Im sorry to say not impressed at this at all firstly the website is rubbish when it comes to putting your address in, secondly after eventually i placed the order which normal delivery is 40 to 45 minutes only to receive an email informing me it is delayed by a further 15 minutes. They charged me for delivery which i wouldn't have minded if on time and the further insult was the 40p service charge for a poor service. They need to learn about customer service and their promise on their website well back to kfc for us. We ordered at 5 past 6pm this before i even placed the order and we amended the address via phone and online food arrived at 7.35 pm further to this the spicy wings that arent very spicy where bigger than the chicken pieces i would suggest looking elsewhere for a traditional chicken meal. Also you told me that it was ready now then said it left 5 mins ago only to arrive a further 10 minutes later. Plus ypu also charge more for collection which you made excuses to me before so let the general public make their minds up now.
