A lovely pub serving great food. The pub is open and airy at the top end with a cosier area at the bottom of the pub. The prices are around average but the food was excellent. The service was good but only had a few members of staff on at the time of our visit. The pub is set on the top of a hill with fantastic views overlooking Bolton. Overall a great pub that I would recommend.

Good friendly staff, quick service. Good lunchtime menu, the seabass fabulous. Not a cheap place but nice for a special event.

·

Nice service let down by very poor overpriced food. The cauliflower cheese was the worst I've ever had. I wasn't expecting much given its a Greene King but was sub standard

Had lunch at this venue food and service was good.we had two dogs with us and was allowed to seat in the bar area. The pub has a great atmosphere and great views if you were to drink or eat in outside area.If you were in the area I would recommend a visit the prices for food and drinks are average.

Ate here last night, not our local but had been recommended. Staff very attentive and food was lovely. I imagine in the summer the beer garden/eating outside will be a joy. Thank you for a lovely evening.

The Blundell is an institution around these parts, I've been eating here on and off for the last 30 odd years.Nice and spacious inside, it is a Green King restaurant, so set your expectations accordingly. The food was cooked properly and portions were decent. Steak pie in red wine was served with chips and veg carrot and cabbage. It was nice, but, its still in the back of your mind that when you eat in a chain its basically 'posh' ready meals.Dessert was Eton mess which was nice. Expensive for what it is, but the team here clearly have some pride in what they do and its still a pleasant experience eating here. Service is good and there were no long waits on what was a fairly busy evening.

Amazing! Great service and lovely staff given we booked at short notice, amazing food for the whole family. Only things we could say were not so great was there were slightly too many options on the menu which made us take longer to decide, the Scottish mussels were not cleaned properly leaving them covered in barnacles on the shells but otherwise the food tasted fantastic. Complete compliments to the chef!
