China Palace in Bolton

Last night ordered a takeaway. 2 of our special fried rice was awful. None of the ingredients were chopped up. 1 whole fried egg on top along with 2 large thin pieces of unmarinated chicken with 1 small pork piece. It tasted disgusting. Whoever cooked it last night needs sacking. The vegetarian box was also unedible, all contents were totally stiff. We order from here once every 2 weeks and the ladt few months have been terrible. Totally gone down hill. Will never return again.

No msg unlike some others in Bolton and fresh ingredients.

Excellent Sui Mai and Sigapore Vermicelli. Recommended.

Best Chinese in bolton, very quick with the orders and on time everytkme I call even when very busy, prices have gone up recently however its always good food, only criticism is the plastic containers it would be better to swap to paper

Wonton soup won tons were hard and rubbery. Salt and pepper chicken and ribs were just ribs and chicken wings on top of a bit of flavouring.

Used to be great - really not any more.Always loved a takeaway from here but the sweet and sour chicken was tough and horrible and the chow mien not great. Only thing we enjoyed was the spring rolls.

Sweet and sour chicken tough only ate half if it the rest went in the bin , chicken and sweetcorn soup had so much pepper added it was firey, not a great experience 😑 used to be the best in the area

Had the Salt and Pepper chicken. It was just shredded chicken so ne meat. Just fried strips. Hardly any onion, peppers etc. Chips were also overdone. Shame as it is usually good, but had this for a change

This has been our first choice for Chinese for 20 years. Consistently good quality food and large portion sizes. Everyone we have recommended it too has agreed. The down side, they don't deliver. Also if ordering at the weekend by phone whatever time they give you for it to be ready be prepared to add 10 to 15 minutes wait in the shop. But it's worth it.

Food is okay, but one lady behind the counter (I think she is the manager) has an intimidating,narcissistic attitude towards most customers and can be nice to certain others which is a shame as the food is often nice. In all honesty, the customer service is not welcoming and needs improvement. :/
