Excellent.. Best Piri Puri outside of chicken Guia

Fantastic Food, prepared on-the-spot, grandly grilled, with most generous portions, homemade English & continental desserts and beverages, in a very clean environment, at low prices!! We always enjoy eating-in or take for home! A “must go to eat-in” place or for “takeaways”!! “Jo’s Grill”, Thank you!!!!

Luckily this hidden gem was almost opposite our hotel. Lovely friendly family run place. Very nice and reasonably priced food. If I’m ever in Bolton we would go back there.

Doesn't get any more authentic than this. Forget about nandos the food here is exceptional. Real Portuguese vibe, full of locals and the food was gorgeous. Well worth the wait, owners also really nice. Language barrier but part of the fun. Desserts also a highlight. Will be returning to try the rest of the menu.

Came here with my son and girlfriend instead of going to Nando’s. Didn’t regret it at all, the food was amazing and very reasonably priced. The services was really good too 😊. Definitely worth a try!!

Went with my family for a birthday dinner and have to say it was amazing. All the food was fresh and grilled to perfection, would definitely go there again and I really recommend everyone to give it a try!!

Absolutely outstanding meal. Authentic Portuguese food, cooked by Portuguese people. I watched a bit of Brazilian football while I ate delicious spiced chicken and the salad was fantastic. Crisp, fresh and a little grind of rock salt for seasoning. Could have been forgiven for thinking I was in Belém rather than Bolton. Portuguese soft drinks and Super Bock which I sadly had to swerve. Had a proper Pastel de Nata to take away after which was a nice touch.

Amazing place with some of the best portuguese cuisine.Very affordable and cheap place to eat.Well served portions to all of us and we had to take the leftover home due to that... 🤣Strongly recommended!

The best Portuguese restaurant you can find in the North West. Delicious food and great service. The owner and his staff make you feel welcomed. Truly authentic and humble people.

Haven’t even eaten yet and already I love it! Lovely fresh looking fish, Jo doesn’t really speak English but has a great smile! Authentic!
