This pub is outstanding the Landlady Lorraine is extremely hospitable the food is 1 of the best ivd had to the pub is very beautiful with a varied range of Cask Ales, lagers and spirits. I would most definitely recommend yous place for anyone to visit!!

Visited for a meal with my partner today and it was lovely. Food was great. We chose the nibbles menu as we prefer "picky food". We had 6 dishes and this was more than enough for the 2 of us. We nearly bought 9!! Glad we didn't as we would never have finished them. Have included a photo of our meal. Have already recommended to my family. Waiters and waitresses were absolutely outstanding, not too over attentive (which I can't stand), great place, great people, great food!!Previous post:Decent pub. A bit out the way of everything else but a lovely establishment. Only been in a couple of times but its really nice inside, very modern. They also do food on select days, haven't tried the food myself but i would like to. Will visit again to try food with my partner. Would recommend.

Just back from Bob's Smithy, and full to busting. It was really busy (obviously a sign of how.good this place is) and there was a wait for.food but so worth it. Cooked well, hot and hot plates. The young man behind the bar and serving meals was just lovely and so polite. I'd definitely recommend this place but book in advance if today was anything to go off. Excellent!

Had a lovely meal with my family. One family member is a vegetarian and another is a vegan . When I booked the table , I asked if they could cater for them. I hadn't been since before the pandemic so wasn't sure what to expect.They made sure that a selection was available and the food was lovely. Definitely will be visiting again.

Lovely place for a meal. Good food, very helpful staff. Try the black pudding and poached egg starter.

Food was good but the service was poor. After having our main course the table was not cleared for half an hour even though the staff were just having a chat at the bar. Had to get up and get our own menus for the sweet. Will not go again and advise others of the poor service

Oh my what a Sunday lunch that was..... THE best Roast Beef I have had in a very long time. The staff couldn't do enough to make you welcome, from starters to mains and then desserts they could not be faulted. We will surely be back folks Thank You so much 😊

First time back since the renovations. It looks lovely, brighter and more open. We went for some sharing starters, halloumi fries, chicken, fish goujons and mini sausages. All cooked to perfection. I had a beef roast dinner for my main. The beef was beautifully cooked, slightly pink, and a lovely big fluffy yorkshire pudding. I would highly recommend.

We popped in here after a nice long walk around the estate, we didn't know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised at the excellent quality, friendly service and cosy decor and ambience. I had the black pudding and a mustard sauce starter which was delicious, for main I had the pan fried chicken which great and the sticky toffee pudding for desert, again amazing. Would really recommend.
