Red Lion, Hungry Horse in Bolton

first off, i wish i could rate this place 0 stars. drinks took over 20 minutes every time we ordered via the app, even though the place had about 5 tables in. mix it up food was awful, steak was ordered at medium well, came as well done, steak had a sour taste and was green in some parts. They threw my other plate of food away even though i asked for a box to takeaway! no one came to check up on us for about an hour, manager took over 20 minutes to see us once we were finally able to let someone know about the problem, manager didn’t care, gave no apology, refund in cash when i didn’t pay cash, went straight back to drilling and hammering some silly chair. definitely will not be coming back to here, a shame that this hungry horse establishment is a part of greene king, we’ve had much better experiences at different hungry horses. pine tree is far better than here.

Called in for a quick bite to eat with my family, the service was amazing especially from the lady behind the bar she went above and beyond to make sure our visit was enjoy able

Lovely evening there today celebrating my daughters 2nd birthday Georgia on the bar was amazing so friendly and helpful even when she was busy and on her own she stayed calm and kept a smile on her face she was wonderful!

Absolutely fantastic night. Special thanks to Georgina and Lisa and to the rest of the staff for looking after us on our special night. We made a special visit from Spain to visit to celebrate our first 'date' over 28 years ago at the Red Lion. Thanks again guys for looking after us on our 'bucket list' night. Great meal. Great service, food comes out quick enough. Standard of food is pub grumb. Portions are more than big enough a very good feast. Well worth the very competitive prices.

Lovely warm atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious. Staff always make sure everything is great with your meal. The 'smokin jack' burger was cooked beautifully and my partner enjoyed the chicken tower.

First time eating here today, lovely service from Jenny good food good price, great place to eat out with kids will be coming again.

We visited the wacky warehouse today 26/2/22 and had such a disappointing experience.We arrived and was let in through the gate and went to the till and I'd like to say that we were greeted but we didn't even get an hello, good afternoon or anything from both team members on the till.One of the 2 ladies looked like she wanted to be anywhere but there she had red/copper coloured hair.She was miserable very blunt with how she spoke to us and whilst serving us stood and carried on a conversation moaning and calling someone.They didn't move from behind the counter.We sat down and 10 minutes into our visit another lady came in wearing a party host t-shirt and she proceeded to clear the tables and looked alot more welcoming than the other 2.Whilst sat down I could see dust that had gathered on top of the posts surrounding the area which are easily accessible to clean by team members.Also the dust in the air in the play area is awful Whilst say down you can see it blowing around in the air and this put me off ordering a hot drink.We stayed for just 20mins and left.I am an employee of Greene King and know this is not the standards we strive for as a company I.e cleanliness and staffs attitude and the experience we wish our customers to have.Very disappointed unfortunately and will not be returning.
