The best chippy. Freshly fried fish, friendly staff and spotlessly clean.As of 26/03/2022...Still the best. Chips were superb, fish was flaky and so tasty...the batter was delicious. Mushy peas were to die for. Friendly welcome and service. Well worth it!

Some years ago these guys used to run the chippy over the road from my office around 25 miles away. My “working lunch” was usually small fish, chips and gravy or chicken tikka pie, chips and curry sauce.When I left that job and moved away I was gutted I’d lose access to such a fab chippy.Have tried just about every chippy in and around Bolton and none came close.Then one day out of the blue I got a tap on the shoulder in Deane post office and it was one of the brothers who ran the Preston place…and he informed me he ran a place just down the hill. Key question. Did he still do Jassat’s chicken tikka pies? Yes! Hallelujah.I don’t live on this side of Bolton so I don’t get here as often as I like but I call in when I can for my chicken tikka pie fix.The fish is always lovely and flaky. The batter crisp and not greasy at all. The chips really nice. And the gravy very nice. And I’m very picky. The Bolton News ran a competition a few years back and revealed the top 3 fish and chips shops in Bolton. I tried all 3. I’d not revisit any ever again as they were awful. Horrible cooking oil. Greasy food. Lump gravy.Reel Fish and Chips however is a revelation. Try them. You won’t be disappointed.Note: take card payments and I’d be in more often. All too often I have zero cash in my wallet and I can’t be arsed going to an ATM. Accepting Pay would be sooooo convenient for me and no doubt others too.

Beautiful cod n chips from here. You can choose between cod and haddock, but we had the cod. Very fresh fish, cooked fresh, tasted lovely. Highly recommend Reels!

I ordered beforehand, food was ready when I arrived. It was hot and fresh - just as it should be! Customer service was excellent. Can not fault anything, would absolutely recommended. 👌

Went yesterday to get 2 scallop balms and I was in a rush. He was telling the chef to fry fresh ones I said its fine just give me the ones you already have. At least this dude went through the effort of trying to get me fresh food most places wouldn't even bother. We are regulars here and never had any issues. Food is always fresh and the place is always spotless inside. Staff are also friendly and know how to treat customers.

Friendly service, good prices, large portions, freshly cooked. Peas were a little watery but that could be a one-off, fish was lovely, would recommend.
