Retreat Grill, Bar and Restaurant in Bolton

I went with my son (his treat) and we were both really impressed. The atmosphere, the service, the food and cocktails were absolutely fantastic. We loved it so much much that we will definitely come back many times and recommend it to all friends and family we know. Love this place.

Overall pretty good. Cocktail menu is great. Food was decent. Only downside was being rushed off the table when they needed it. Had they informed us of the time they needed it we wouldn't have felt ambushed. We had a good time though.

Yesterday evening five of us went to the Retreat for a meal. We asked for the small room off the main restaurant because its more private. We all enjoyed our meals, although Sue said her chicken was a bit dry and she won't order it again. I had the chicken and beef skewers with fries and it was lovely. The young waitress Was attentive and pleasant. We have booked again for 29th March for Sue's birthday but in one of the small cute cabins outside.

had garlic bread with tomato starter too share was enough then the mixed sliders they were ok nothing special but plenty of fries no side salad staff friendly enough

Called in out of the blue on a Sunday afternoon. Found the staff to be accommodating and helpful. The food, Roast beef dinner was excellent, the vegetables were cooked to perfection and the amount was filling. Service was excellent. The sweets were absolutely fabulous as well. Highly recommend this hostelry to everybody!!!

Top end of the Bolton price range but all food cooked to order and to a good standard.Sausage platter starter was good. Chips and fries were not greasy at all.Service was excellent. A bit chilly where we sat.

Beautiful setup and very welcoming.Food was gorgeous and thoroughly enjoyed. Prices were a bit on a high side but large portion of tasty food so worth it!Will visit again on a family special or a good friends gathering occasion.

Been a while since I was last here, fortunately the quality and service is still as good as ever. Be warned! The garlic bread is a full 10+ inch pizza base so best to share with others.Main courses were pretty big so best to go with a healthy appetite. Also, it was busy this evening so best to book a table so you're not disappointed.Dessert options look great, but sadly we couldn't partake due to previous courses.

We booked for 24 for a Wake for my mum. Booking was easy and efficient. Everyone had a lovely afternoon. Food was excellent, service attentive without being intrusive. Minor mix up with bill sorted out quickly and efficiently, overall cost for what we had was good. Definitely recommended.
