First time I've been here since lockdown and my experience was not great. Previously you could go in see the menu on the walls see the food available and make a decision order and get pay. If you got a drink that was done you took it away and sat down if you'd ordered food you get a number go and sit down. Well mot now, walked in and met by a waitress asked if wanted to sit inside or out, nice day so choose to sit outside, given a menu only really wanted a drink but thought if I saw something I might eat, however did not get see anything. We sat there waiting and watching and waited more than 15 minutes, it was that busy but no one came and took an order, we got fed up waiting do we got up and left. This only a cafe and meant to be simple get drink sit down drink it after a nice walk. It's not a restaurant but even the busy restaurants don't make you wait and get no service very very poor and not to it's previous easiness of getting a drink and not that it's the cheapest either!

Fabulous place with great food. The staff are brilliant, so helpful & really can't do enough for you. It's a lovely place to stop for a coffee or snack in beautiful surroundings. The cheesecake is absolutely scrummy!

Lovely cafe to relax and enjoy a drink or food and a drink after a walk .There is a little gift shop inside . Very did friendly inside and out . Even the birds are friendly.

This revue is based on just popping into the Barn for a couple of coffees. At one time ordering drinks or food involved queuing up at the counter. Now you pick a table and someone comes to take your order. I can see how this might slow things down during busy periods, particularly when there may be staff shortages. My experience, however, was of a slick service. A very pleasant young man took our (admittedly small)order and a waitress brought it to our table without delay. The atmosphere is informal, friendly; and the interior was warm on a cold January day. There is a small craft sales section. Well made articles and food preserves. The coffee was fine, by the way. It was a good experience and we will be back.

Lovely food but the service is so slow. It took ten mins to make 3 ice creams and 2 coffees when there were 4 members of staff. Not sure why other than slowness. this is the only negative though! Great food, drinks and atmosphere

Honestly, I've never been here but intend on visiting. The place looks fantastic. I'm just giving a 5 star review to build this place up after the ridiculous assessment made by some entitled guy a week ago. I'm sure a powercut inconvenienced you far more than it did him. After reading his reviews he sounds like he needs his phone taking off him. Have a fantastic day and you're all amazing.

Nice place but crazy expensive. Basically two pieces of rasher in a bun with a coffee £6 plus. Not good value at all, having said that,I have the staff are 100% top class. It would have been three stars otherwise .

Lovely setting, nice, warm and inviting. Nice staff and good service but wasn't a lot left on the menu. Freshly made soup was very good, didn't need the sandwich that went with it which wasn't great in comparison.

Best hot chocolate ever, well deserved after walking up Rivington Pike.

Situated at the Go Ape Rivington site, with ample free parking. The food and service here is so good, I would visit here on it's own merit.I was served by a gentleman called Adam. Amazing customer service, polite and just knew what he was doing. The food was stunning. A wide range of snacks, including jacket potatoes, sandwiches, paninies and ice cream.Salim Patel
