Avoid at all cost 1 star and I'm being generous, shocking prices for mediocre kids food, £7.95 for an all day breakfast 2 small sausage, 1 rasher burnt bacon, 1 egg and 2 hash brown's, no beans or even sauce, been served better at a kids play centre for much less, shocking food, shocking service and no heating on or hot water in toilets and no hand dryer working, place needs new staff pronto or closing down, used to be a lovely place to go with lovely staff, won't be going back under that management.i suffer chronic pain and I couldn't get out quick enough as it was warmer outside and its April. The chef was unkempt and looked like they didn't care what they served you.bring back the old black horse with home cooked fresh food or close it down.

Used to come here in the summer of 2020 and it was lovely. Good atmosphere good beer etc...We visited today for a breakfast and what an absolute shambles. That cold even the staff has jackets on!We paid for the breakfast buffet to find there was literally 2 dried out eggs. A handful of mushrooms in water. And one hash brown. We asked if and when there will be more brought out and they said yes. We waited patiently for 10 minutes. They brought out sausages. Then 5 minutes after that 4 slices of bacon came out. Which went to the people who had already got their food. So again we were left with nothing.Rude staff so we got our money back and went elsewhere. Where we ordered and had out food within 5 minutes. Standards!!!

Great place to have a drink nice and warm friendly barstaff don't mind paying a bit extra for a nice place like that.

Pub is nice and spacious but falls short on atmosphere, drinks rather expensive compared to other places. Been in a couple of times of an evening lately but always empty.

Lovely food, best pub food I've had in a while and lovely polite staff. Thanks to Christian who was very polite to my partner and I and went out of his way to ensure we were served quickly.
