The Chinese Buffet - Bolton in Bolton

I went there with my husband and kid on weekday afternoon.The staff there were very nice and helpful, food were tasty, yummy 😋. I love the fried rice and appetizers so much. The most amazing thing was the robot server, which was very "high tech" and efficient.I would definitely come again and next time looking forward to having a dinner buffet there.

Visited mid-week for the dinner buffet for the first time since the new format has been introduced.Overall the individual portions ordering worked pretty well. The app and cool robot delivery made the experience much more unique and fun! The app does have some bugs (e.g. on Android if the app is closed then the table is not stored and has to be re-scanned). Hopefully these slight issues are resolved.There were some slight disadvantages as to not having the traditional style buffet - for example: Not being able to have a small sample of an item to avoid waste, or not being able to choose amount of sauce or vegetables in a portion of a dish. However I think that the system is generally well implemented overall.The food itself was generally good. However it did feel a little bit pricey (£20.99 for a weekday evening).The staff (the human ones!) were very good at explaining the system and assisting throughout.Overall, I thought that the experience was unique and fun and I would recommend.

Our first time and certainly won’t be our last time!We came on a Saturday night and it was a nice atmosphere it was busy but the service was very quick, you order through the app what you want as much as you want which I prefer.The app was very simple to use and I enjoyed the table service especially the robot that was just an experience in itself to see how the robots works it is very clever and I think it works really well. I think the price is very reasonable for the food you get good quality and good quantity. The staff was very helpful and the manager was so lovely. Definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back next time I’ll bring the children because they’ll love the robot! I’m such a fussy eater and get the basics from a Chinese takeaway so now I’ve managed to try different Chinese food and realised what I’ve been missing out on!

Obviously changed due to covid which is understandable and explains the robots.....No buffet however is still all you can eat which would be fine if the menu wasn't very very basic. If you accidentally close down the app you have to go find the front of house girl ( who was lovely ) to scan the QR code for your table again. Unfortunately one of the staff, I won't mention who appears to have a bit of a hygiene issue and that kind of smell just doesn't make for an enjoyable dining experience. The wee server robots were fairly quick bringing the food out but given its the first time we've visited since before the pandemic it was over all quite disappointing and not worth the money. Sorry

Brilliant and friendly service.Food is delivered by their new robots which are pretty cool and are interactive.Ive been a few times and the food is always really yum, most portions are good sizes and you can obviously order more.The app is easy to use and food comes within a good time even during peak times.I do think it could be slightly cheaper or a discount for students as money is tight :).People leaving bad reviews for this place are crazy.

We visited The Chinese Buffet last night and was seated by Sally. She was really helpful explaining the process of ordering to my mum as it was her first time there. The service was excellent and we were regularly checked on to make sure everything was going well!The food was delivered by their new robots which you were able to interact with when food was delivered. She also sang happy birthday when cake was delivered with a candleA great experience and a lovely meal would definitely recommend this restaurant

We were invited here recently to test out the new dining experience with Bella bot. The service was great and so much choice on food! We will be back again soon!

Was invited here with friends today for dinner and from the moment we walked in it was such a lovely atmosphere. We was seated straight away by Sally who was nothing but amazing the whole time. She was so polite and explained how everything worked as I had never been before. Instead of the Buffett you ordered off their app which I found so much better as you could order whatever you wanted. I was so surprised that they had a robot which helps them deliver food, which me and my friends had a great time interacting with. I think we will all be returning again.

I read some reviews and some didn't sound good but I went anyway with a group of friends, 9 in all,Due to the situation it was table service through an app, once you got your head around the app and how to time your food order everything went well.Food was good and staff were attentive.As soon as the table was vacated it was cleaned off.I would go back.

food not like it used to be. Forced to eat untasty food due to extra charge for wastage. Waiter suggested platter for two after being seated.. it came with about 8 items. Only 1 out of the 8 items was palatable. So I was filled before being able to order something of my own choice or preference. Meatballs taste horrific. Nothing was good. Huge fly landed directly on my cheesecake before I could finish it. One star for a beautiful dining area and waiter was friendly
