Big spacious pub but needs a re-vamp. Chep nd cheerful, very busy weekend. Serve food till late.

Went for mid afternoon lunch, food was as expected and arrived within reasonable time frame and hot. Service was friendly and explained bout the condiments setup. Plenty of tables available and they were clean. Quite steep trek up to the toilets but again they where nice and clean.It's quite dark and dated pub and clientele bit rough and ready with flowery language but very friendly.

Great pub had various beers on offer with very good prices. Food was quick and hot when it arrived. Very enjoyable meal for a great price . The pub was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly and helpful 👍 😀

Usual Wetherspoons set up, and yes, the toilets are upstairs. Was untidy when I went and empty bowls and no vinegar on the table where the condiments were. Food arrived pretty quickly but wasn't the warmest food I have ever had.

Great for a drink but unfortunately the food is not great, although you pay little expect little. My scallops were little, but not tasty at all.. I'll still drink there for the meet up and first paint.

Having been in exile in Spain for over 12 months the main thing we missed was Weatherspoons, its nice to be back and food, drink and prices are very much the same as before we went to Spain.

Most staff in there really friendly, service can be slow sometimes depending on whos on the bar but if you go to a spoons and expect fast service - you're in the wrong place. When the service is slow staff always super apologetic. Food always decent, drinks are good prices. Dont get tequila here though, they never bring you the lime and salt even if you ask for it.

We had a beer and a meal here and I have to say I feel they deserved 5 stars. Why I've only given 2 stars......there was a broken glass lying on floor in full view of all, toilets in a state very tired looking. Toilet roll holder not there and the tissue left on window ledge.

I've just downgraded it to 2 stars.I had a terrible meal a few days ago...I ordered the cauliflower curry and that was the only thing that was edible. The garlic nann was like cardboard, definitely not cooked fresh, I'd also paid extra for the garlic but couldn't taste it, the rice was one solid ball, again overly cooked and dry. The poppadoms were greasy and chewy. I said earlier that the curry was the only edible part but this was so bland if you'd blindfolded me I wouldn't have guessed it was a curry.To top it all it was packed, which is great for them but any free table was stacked high with dirty dishes and glasses, plus the App wasn't working properly, I couldn't order my meal with a soft drink, only alcohol so I had to go to the bar. When I mentioned the dirty tables they said that they were short staffed.The review below is what I left last time, what a difference a year makes! 😟Excellent value for money both drinks and food, good quick service, great food with brilliant choice, especially for vegetarians. A very popular place but just a pity the clientele are a bit rough and decor is scruffy and dated. Toilets are up stairs which is a bit of a hike, not good if your either desperate or drunk. Using the new Wetherspoons App is great, you never need to leave your table to order food and drink. Easy to use with quick service. Recommend you download the App.
