Bay horse in Burnley

Went there last night for the first time in ages. Very pleasantly surprised. The new management have spruced the place up very nicely. Food excellent, good value and staff very friendly. Will be going again

First time to the village. Characerful housing, village green and a superb pub. What more do you need. Lunch menu was varied and service was quick, professional and polite. Well priced tasty food. Various beers and lagers also on offer. Definitely worth a second (and third) visit.

Was given choice of where we could sit. Got a lovely warm window seat so we could watch the snowy weather in comfort.Great menu and the food wasdelicious. Service good, attentivebut not over the top. Friendly atmosphere. Will be back

Good food and friendly service. Slight confusion with gap between serving different members of our group but quickly put right. Overall enjoyable experience. Car parking no problem.

Called in for lunch on a cold Friday with our dog Mya there was a fire lit in one of the rooms so we headed in there. The decor is modern and tasteful, we ordered drinks from a friendly member of staff, then chose our food. The menu is quite extensive for meat eaters like my husband, the vegetarian/vegan had a few options. Fish and chips for him cheese and onion pie for me. Both came nicely served with a smile. We both enjoyed our meals and chocolate pot for desert for me delicious. We enjoyed everything about the lunch and Mya our lurcher enjoyed the fire. We will be back.

Only went on for one wine but the Mack and Collie Sauvignon Blanc is very quaffable. So much so, I bought 6 to be delivered home whilst there. Will look at dining another day as I'd just finished training so wasn't dressed for dining.

What a lovely experience at the bay horse. When i entered the building a felt a warm welcoming from the lovely staff i booked before hand so got checked in when i came in. I was then seated and offered drinks. When my food arrived it was lovely and warm. I got the steak pudding with sweet potato fries, then sticky toffee pudding for dessert it was impeccable. My overall experience was brilliant here and would recommend to anyone close or far away to try this place out. Staff make you feel so welcome and cozy always here to help you out.

What a beautiful setting to eat outstanding food. Couldn’t possibly ask for any more.Staff are friendly and very attentive. Always making sure our glasses were never empty.Food was outstanding and had a nice little break between courses.The manager aimee was great and couldn’t do enough for us.Great experience and will definitely be returning.

Have now visited twice since it reopened, it's great to see the Bay Horse open again and what a top class refurbishment it has had. Lots of different seating areas both inside and outside and good decor. Very friendly staff with a warm welcome giving the place a great atmosphere.On the down side the prices are on the top side and beware of the lunch menu. We ordered pizzas from the lunch menu and assumed we were getting the half artisan pizzas as stated on the menu,.We didn't think to question the size of them when they arrived and only realised that we had been given full size pizzas at a full sized price when we got the bill. £14.25 for a lunchtime pizza is a bit too steep.Let's hope they don't price themselves out of business as it would be such a shame if the village were to lose this otherwise great venue.

What a good moment. The place and decoration are nice, the staff very friendly and professional ( love the look with the jeans,makes it different than the boring black trousers and white shirts) and the food just perfect . We had a fresh soup and chicken liver pate for starters and roast beef and chicken for our mains, very delicious and good portions. Compliment to the chef and to the rest of the staff. Recommend the place ++++++ see u again
