Really disappointing visit and won't be going again. We were aware of a 40 minute wait for food. Starters came after about 30 minutes. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for someone to take the empty plates away. We then waited another hour for the main course to arrive after having to ask a member of staff if the food was on its way. Absolutely mortified that my vegan burger had meat bacon on it and not the vegan bacon I asked for. So glad I noticed before eating it. Apparently something to do with ordering at the til and the order of extras on the list .. No excuse in my book. Never again.

Had breakfast, server was lovely and very friendly made us feel welcome, asked us about the food, checking in with us and was just overall a great trip. Will definitely visit again

Good place to eat at a stone's throw away from the hotel. Decent food at decent prices, and all kept clean and tidy. Staff here are very kind and helpful. Some menu items not available but advised of these on arrival, with a decent supplementary menu made available in substitute. Shame there wasn't any Glenfiddich or Johnnie Walker available. Big up to Laura and the team for a fab night none the less 👏👏👏

It's been a few years since we've been and it's definitely the last time. The four of us got carvery and it was awful. Very little choice, veggies were rock hard and the gravy was like water. But the staff were lovely. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The Queen Vic is what it is; a Brewers Fayre so you know the food you'll get. The staff are nice and the place is ok too. Beware if it is busy - it could be a long delay getting served; an hour we were told even though we'd booked a table

Took our little boy in the play area after some food here, he loved it! Always super clean and staff in there are lovely. Food was a bit over cooked in the restaurant, the mozzarella dippers were super hard to bite through and the nachos were very dry but otherwise ok. Staff did get us some colours for the little one so super grateful for that!!

Really impressed - I came with my son who is 15m and has multiple main allergies. The staff were amazing. The food was good. Taz went out of her way to accommodate for my son's allergies. I can't thank her enough for making that an easy experience as it is normally very awkward and difficult. My son loved the play centre after too. We have decided we will be coming back every week as we have not found anywhere as on too of the allergies and it was such a refreshing relief.

Very nice, my husband had mixed grill and said it was the best he has had. I had burger and chips which was o.k but nothing special. It waiting staff were friendly and efficient. The place had a relaxing atmosphere. We got 50% off our bill, help to eat. The pudding was lovely.

The food and atmosphere are lovely. Prices I've found not so expensive as some other reviewers said..The only shame was a staff's attitude towards parking fee refund...I was a stranger (others also, in my group) when we visited, and you MUST ask for the fee refund when you order your food. Otherwise, they won't give you the refund if you ask afterwards.I was told "Well, it says at the door. We also mention when customers ordering food." As if blaming us, not sympathetic.1) the signage is not large or highlighted enough and doesn't capture your attention - who reads many papers stuck around the doors when particularly you are going in with the group & families, unless it is really eye capturing?2) the staff serving us didn't say anything about parking refund. We didn't expect the refund. My friends also "done" by the lack of reminder. No further notices around the tills or anywhere inside the premise. So, just that experience on its own could spoil the experience. This pub is next to Premier Inn. Bet many First time visitors didn't know and left without asking for it.Although I state - the parking fee is "only a pound" (at the time on Saturday afternoon), it is a matter of Principle, thus my 2 stars (lowest I have ever marked so far, as I am usually understanding and accommodating...)
