Baci in Bury

Daughters birthday. 12 people drinking and dining. I know it was a hot evening but it was sweltering in the restaurant with no air conditioning and sat next to the kitchen and pizza oven. The food was OK but lacked flavour and main ingredients. Ie crab in pasta and pizza lacking cheese and main ingredients. Than problems with the bill.

Really nice eatery, staff friendly and helpful, we will definitely dine there again

The food was great but the service was not. We are Americans who are celebrating our birthdays in England. We spent a lovely day in York and decided to stop in for dinner and possibly get a dessert and celebrate with that. There were six other tables with birthdays and everyone got a song! The atmosphere was festive and that made me excited, so I let the waiter know that we were also celebrating “two birthdays” at our table. He said we wouldn’t get a song because everyone else had reserved their tables and we did not. Wow! Thanks for nothing! They also forgot to bring my tea that I twice had to ask for and never received. We also had to go and search for the waiter for our bill. I guess he was too busy with those people “who already reserved” their tables. I gave the two stars for the food and it would have been much higher but the service brought it down to a two. I guess the waiter didn’t like Americans.

Lovely atmosphere generally speaking and the food was delicious - however the garlic bread starters could do with a portion summary as we were pretty shocked at the size of it having not visited before! Yes great value for money on the garlic bread, but felt bad for waste when we couldn't eat it all. Would return, we did enjoy the food very much. All staff were warm and friendly when they did interact with customers.Our only glaring issue with BACI at the time was the service, we could see that the older gentleman was run off his feet but the younger members of the team were stood about, or not returning to tables to check-in with customers. We waited for what felt like ages between drinks and receiving the dessert menu for anyone to come over - it actually changed our mind, and we decided that we no longer wanted a dessert.Before we chose to come to BACI it wasn't actually clear that you had a cocktail menu anywhere online, we were very happy to see that you had one upon arrival, but this was not apparent in your social-media or Google presence - I think it would be great to make this more obvious because that was almost the difference between us going elsewhere due to the wishes of our party.

Meal was average. Had chicken breast, tomato sauce, vine tomatoes, chorizo and ONE little prawn! Side of veg with boiled new potatoes and the potatoes were cold in the centre. Wish I had what my mum had...looked good and she enjoyed it!

Staff are very attentive and friendly, menu is extensive and the food is genuinely excellent. It sometimes worries me when a restaurant has 30+ dishes to choose from, but somehow Baci pulls it off. I went with a few other people and we ordered a wide selection from the menu; bruschetta, anti pasti, pasta, meat and deserts. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great.Really a great Italian restaurant.

First time in. All had a fantastic meal. Very pleasant staff. Not to expensive fir what we had. Will go back.

Nice atmosphere, fantastic service and the food was lovely. The only downside is that there is no designated parking area, you would need to find somewhere near. However, we would definately return.

First time at this restaurant and it was amazing! I'd heard good reviews but what drawn me to it was the Gluten free pasta which did not disappoint but not only was there GF pasta they had pizzas, garlic bread and deserts! And thr staff were lovely and so friendly! The whole night was absoloutely amazing, definitely our new favourite place! Can't wait to go back again

Good portions, tasty food, reasonable prices, attentive service, a great night.
