Cardamom Cream in Bury

Quite simply the BEST Indian restaurant in Manchester. Nice waiters. Excellent food. Thanks Hassan and Saifur. We had a lovely evening as always.

Rude and unapproachable staff. Wrong food arrived. Oily and unpleasant food. Won't be returning. Travelled from Wigan with family due to recommendation. Very disappointed.Edited in response to reply.1. We were offered a la carte and Sunday lunch. If you don't want people ordering off a la carte do not offer it.2. You accepted orders from both menus.3. We said we would pay for extras off the Sunday lunch menu. You agreed. Extras were poppadoms, rice and chips.4. You rectified the wrong starters. We said thanks. But did not eat 3/4 of it. This is strongly denied.5. One starter wasn't very nice. You offered an alternative which was accepted.6. Staff were rude and dismissive. Staff would not address the female in the group.7. The youngest member of staff and the guy in grey were the nicest and most accommodating.8. We didn't complain about the mains. We just didn't eat them. Food was rushed and etiquette missing.9. We paid the bill with no hesitation or questions. We did not cause you embarrassment in front of customers.10. Customers are entitled to review an establishment just like the establishment has a right to reply.11. We did not want a free meal. We could more than afford the food hence ordering off both menus.12. We attended for a celebration. The cake was given to Staff but with our visit cut short we took the cake home. Disappointed celebration.13. In my opinion which I am entitled to, this was not a fine dining experience.14. We witnessed other tables returning food. You even handed food to someone with an allergen which you were informed about.15. We also witnessed an over charge via the card machine. The member of staff didn't know how to refund, after 20 minutes the couple got fed up of waiting and left.

Restaurant space is cramped. Prices are high for the quality and size of portion.Took 15 minutes to be given menus.Starters were taken away when the group hadn't finished eating. Big rush to get rid of starters and plates but the mains didn't arrive for an hour.Mains arrived and waiters were screaming at each other across the table whilst serving. Waiters thumbs were In the food as dishes were being served. Mains also taken away prematurely without asking whether the group had finished eating.Waiters appear to be lacking the basics of customer service, as well as presentation and general food hygiene.If you want Indian takeaway quality food at twice the price all served up by untrained staff in a cramped, ostentatious restaurant then Cardomom Cream is worth a visit.

Ordered a take away at 5pm. They said it would be ready at 6.30pm. Arrived at 6.30 but food not ready. Food eventually appeared at 7.30pm. No explanation for the delay, no complimentary drinks whilst waiting and no apology. On the plus side, the food was superb.

We went for a boxing day meal here and we had a great time. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and gives off a chilled plesent vibe. The food is unbelievably gorgeous, couldn't fault anything! The cocktails where really good too! Thank you very much for an excellent dining experience 👍

We had an amazing meal here with couple of friends. Couldn't fault anything from arriving to leaving. Very welcoming and all the food was excellent. This was our 4th visit and certainly won't be the last!

Absolutely wonderful restaurant. Everything beautifully presented. Excellent service and so gratifying to find staff who appreciate the needs of a Coeliac.Extensive menu with everything, apart from breads/pastries, gf.Shall definitely return. Just a shame I live so far away, otherwise I'd be there every week!Cannot recommend highly enough. Loved it.

Great food and great service. Would say its a little bit pricey but that is reflected in the quality.Staff are brilliant and attentive.
