Eagle & Child in Bury

This establishment has a very good reputation for high quality food. We visited for lunch and found the setting charming and the service excellent. The food was of exceptionally high quality. The starters were unique blending high quality products producing amazing flavours and textures. The main courses were even more enjoyable. If you're looking for a pleasant friendly experience at good prices, there are not many pubs that can better this.

Great location, good food, service and well stocked bar. The room we stayed was a few points to have been excellent if the bath was working properly and didn't have bits of black mould around the edges. The breakfast in bed was great idea.

It's OK, I definitely didn't experience the hype behind it. Very average food, no complaints but nothing spectacular!Doesn't help being seated under the specials menu either having everyone coming over looking over you and taking pictures 😂Staff were sound though. Maybe annex that table 😂

Superb Sunday roast dinner and a lovely warm atmosphere. Great decent sized kids meals too! Highly recommended ❤️.

Very nice Sunday lunch. They happily exchanged the red cabbage(ugh) for some lovely greens. Staff very friendly and accomodating.

Everything was great, I would highly recommend this pub and we'll be returning. The reason for only 4 stars is at the point of booking they didn't inform us they would be closing for the following week so they may be out of some dishes on the night we were attending, unfortunately one of the dishes was the fish. But we will return.

Visited yesterday, proper food in an establishment which is more than just a pub or restaurant although the beer and food are really good. The ethos behind this venue is extraordinary and it was a real pleasure being served by Jacob. Great guy, really good service and polite throughout. Its fantastic seeing people being given the chance to learn a vocation and grow in confidence. Jacob, good luck I'm surprised its not your name above the door!! The same applies to all of the staff that made our visit a good one.

My partner & I had a great time here. Staff absolutely attentive and our Sunday roast really decilicious. The scotch eggs were amazing as well! We will definitely come back! Dogs are welcome so a plus for us! Thanks for the wonderful meal guys!

Lovely room and great facilities, staff all friendly. All the extras in room a lovely touch. Enjoyed our stay and food very good. Only reason did not get 5 star is the only option for breakfast was a continental in a hamper put outside your door( which was lovely) but stating this was because of covid was a very poor excuse as the restaurant was open and very busy with no one wearing masks etc
