We held a private function in the upstairs function area for 40 pax. The team at Hearth of the Ram, led by Euan and Emmanuel could not do more for us - and were incredibly professional and experienced. Great food, drinks, ambience, and service. The function ran smoothly, with thanks to all the staff from the restaurant. Highly recommended.

Excellent food! Steak was to die for! Saw a fair few people have some pizzas from their outdoor pizza oven that looked brill too. Highly recommend

Avoid this place! Shocking value for money please spend your money elsewhere. Note to restaurant stop hanging on to the fact you have been handed some awards and concentrate on the quality of food you are sending out. Its really below parr. Shame really because the service is decent just seems like a smoke screen for expensive mediocre food.

Had a great time on the 7th Jan at the restaurant, the food was amazing (all 3 courses) all the staff who dealt with us were amazing from the guys who brought our food to the table and the cocktail guy ( sorry we didn't get your name) we will definitely be coming back again.

Sat in the large covered outdoor area , manager sorted out two awesome heaters and gave us contolyof the music. Nice beer and food, staff friendly and helpful. Had a lovely evening.

My first visit, friendly staff, excellent food, we went as a family for lunch, everyone else really enjoyed the roast Pork whilst I had the smoked salmon sandwich, hearty portion and great presentation. Highly recommended

Went in for lunch on 09/10/21. Cannot fault the service, the staff were really friendly and accommodating of us having a dog. The food was a bit of a disappointment, the burger was really dry with not much flavour and very few chips for the price. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a mountain of chips but I felt the portion size and quality were very poor for the price paid. Others in the group had pizza, both of which were tasty and seemed better value and quality for the money. Not sure we'd go back for food as there are better options nearby.

Went on a Sunday late afternoon and waited nearly 2 hours for our food without any explanation or apology. The place was absolutely rammed and the kitchen seemingly couldn’t cope with the demand as everyone kept asking the poor waiting staff how much longer their food would be. Had 2 young kids that were climbing the wall by the time it arrived. Can’t fault the waiting-on staff or the bar staff as they were attentive and quick with drinks but I’d suggest taking fewer reservations if the kitchen can’t cope. Dont get me wrong the food is nice, there’s some good beers on tap and it’s reasonable value for money but we won’t be returning unfortunately.

Not sure if it was just busy because of the pudding throwing but we had a very long wait (90 mins between arriving for our table and getting main) and when the toast turned up it was very disappointing with hard veg, anemic "roast" potatoes and thin gravy. Young staff seemed fed up and in the end we left without getting all our courses. Fancies itself as higher market sunday lunch but needs to get the basics right before worrying about charging £20+.
