Called today for the first time. Worth noting the restaurant takes card payment however the takeaway was cash only. The haddock was the tastiest we've had and the batter, despite it looking a little thick, was the lightest with a bit of a crunch. Delicious.

The staff appear friendly. I asked for a lightly battered fish. When it came the batter was thick and soggy. Research should go into the making of the batter, soft, crisp and fluffy (Try a whitby magpie takeaway).I appeared to be the first customer of the day, the chips were not fresh and over cooked (appeared warmed up). Sorry for a poor review but the smell of tbe oil had a lasting nauseous effect. Does the oil need changing?Such a shame that they have not researched how to make batter. Not a traditional fish and chips bar.

The food is so good, this is by far the best fish & chip shop in the area. We regularly take out but have also sat in occasionally, the restaurant is clean and spacious and the service is great. The prices are really fare too, no complaints what so ever. Last time I sat in i was with my grandma and the waitress gave her a rose on the way out which was a lovely touch.

Best Fish and Chips we've had for a long while.Chips were cooked well, not overly greasy, great taste. Potato scallops, not many places do this so that's a big plus for me. Fish also cooked well with perfect amount of batter.I'm normally dissapointed by F&C and haven't eaten here since it's changed to Lorde's. This was a really enjoyable meal, thank you

Tooky daughter and two nephews and they enjoyed the meal..Nice clean restaurant. Food was fresh and delicious, will be revisiting soon.
