Pizza Express in Bury

Dreadful time. 18 of us had 2 birthdays. They said they couldn't separate our bills. A chicken pasta dish arrived with no chicken. We had finished our meal and the chicken pasta dish still hadn't been served. The pizzas were greacy n the chicken wings were the smallest i've ever eaten. We cancelled the dish as we were ready to leave. £45 Service charge on top of a bill that was over £400!!!

Yesterday, my son got invited to Pizza Express at The Rock, for a friend’s birthday. There were 6 of them in total but the restaurant refused them entry saying that they needed someone over 16 with them. As we were also in Bury, he called us to ask us to get them in.We arrived to be told that they were fully booked now and the boys would have to wait a few hours before a table would be available. The restaurant was NOT busy at all and there were lots of empty tables. I asked them where their policy was on not allowing children in. I was fobbed off with a wafting of a hand towards some certificates displayed on the wall- absolute codswallop!!!Furthermore he then told me that because they sell alcohol, children needed an adult with them. Yet, you would have allowed them entry with a 16 years old????Their biggest fear really was that the boys would leave without paying because he then had the audacity to inform me that a family had come in before us and left their children because the parents had left their card with their children. So it was ok to “look after” those children when you informed me that children under 16 would be your responsibility and you were not able to do that.Your excuses were absolutely feeble. You saw the boys and pre- judged them. I am absolutely disgusted with your attitude. Mumbling to your colleague as we left was highly unprofessional of you. We usually love going to Pizza Express, but The Rock establishment will not be getting our custom again. Absolutely appalling customer service!

Food was great but service was slow, they did seem understaffed. They were very accommodating and fit everybody who hadn't booked quite quickly (including us.)We witnessed one staff member yelling at another, which was quite upsetting and uncomfortable.

Went yesterday at around 3 pmTable of 6Staff were very helpful and politeOrdered starters main and dessertsEnjoyed our timeDefinitely recommendVery well looked after

Service wasn’t the greatest. Restaurant wasn’t busy and had to wait 35 minutes for a waitress to come over, she looked like she didn’t want to be here and snatched back the menus. Beside that food was okay.

Ok food but very overpriced! £15.00 for an extremely wafer thin pizza with a lack of toppings. Prices have increased a lot over the past year yet the quality has diminished.

Best Pizza Express I've visited! The waiters were very prompt and food arrived in no time! Very good chilled atmosphere and will defo be coming again. Thank you all! :)

food was delicious when it finally arrived, but they forget about our order and we had to wait over an hour. Maybe they’re understaffed, not sure, but they did knock a bit off the bill. We don’t get much chance to go out, and it kind of ruined the night though, so we won’t be back.

I've been to pizza express before at previous branches and it was my boyfriend's first time. Waited by the lovely Tina who was super friendly and helpful, service was quick from coming in at the door, being served and receiving food & drink. We shared the garlic dough balls with cheese to start and also shared a bottle of Pinot blush between us on both courses we had whilst there. For mains I had the sloppy guiseppee (can't spell for toffee sorry) pizza and a side of red slaw, my boyfriend enjoyed a genorous serving of the pollo pesto pasta and a side of mozzarella bites which he commented both delicious and plenty for what you pay. The food all together was delicious, worth every penny when it comes to both taste and quantity. We would have enjoyed a desert however we were both well and truly stuffed both rubbing our fairly happy food babies. Thank you for having us, we will be back again!

Great food, great atmosphere, music, ect! Pizza is freshly made, very tasty!
