Fantastic, good parking, bedding plants, shrubs and baskets aplenty. Then onto food hall, had a good mooch around and it proved too much observing the tasty meals wafting the aromas, so we quickly got sat down in an alcove.Went with 2 Soups of the Day, which was Spinach and coconut with some warm bread and butter. Then for mains:-Mum had Jacket Potato with Prawn and lemon coleslaw.Dad and I had a Flatbread with Chargrilled Mexican Chicken, chips and coleslaw, very tasty and filling too. Accompanied with coffee and cream and pot of tea for two.

Usually we love coming to the cafe here as we've always had good food and good service in the past, however today for some reason we were seated (seemingly reluctantly) and then forgotten about. Nobody came to take our order and we saw other tables being served promptly who'd arrived way after us. It wasn't very busy and looked like there were enough staff on so it wasn't clear why we weren't being served. A lot of the staff seemed quite young so maybe it's just a case of inexperience or new management, but was still disappointing given how good the service has been previously. We left after being ignored for half an hour and went to another cafe.

I have not been here for over a year. Was taken there by my wife as they have had a refurbishment. Was put in a booth with 2 tables and found the floor was dirty with waste. Waiter asked if I would like to order, I said the floor's dirty it put me off ordering. The waiter said it had not been cleaned from night before. Really. Covid is still about. They asked us if we want another table I said yes please. We were there for about an hour. Someone else was shown to the next table to ours. No-one had cleaned the dirty floor. Food is nice, hot enough. It's just a pity they can't employ cleaners to clean floor's first thing in morning.

Visited today. Very busy cafe poor woman at front of cafe showing people to tables looked run off her feet. Still very pleasant though. Apparently short staffed understandable in theses times. However we ordered pie of the day which was cheese and onion peas and mash. The pie was delicious but I had to literally cut through the mash it was that hard at the bottom. Obviously had been out/left for a good while. Couldnt catch any staff to send food back and no staff came over to ask how the food was. Felt a little let down as normally cafe is spot on.

Lovely food. Love the revamp. Comfortable. And especially like the booths. Toilets the best clean lovely soap and private cubicle. Well do e all who were involved. Loved this garden centre for years, bit more pricey than it used to be but always worth a visit.

Decided to visit as the cafe has been extended and brought up to date. The decor was lovely, nice and bright and clean looking. It is now table service only, plenty of staff in hand. There seemed to be a greater variety of food, bhudda bowls, traditional fare and specials. We ordered tea for two, cups were tiny and teapot only allowed 3 cups between us.The food was ok, steak and ale pie was good according to my husband but the chunky chips were not.. Cold!I had steak sandwich, coleslaw and chips and once again chips weren't good.I would however, visit again but maybe next time tell them that I wasn't happy with certain things. On a good note, the toilets were the poshest garden centre toilets I've ever used!!!😀

Extremely poor service is still giving this place a good score. The garden centre is not to bad, if a little over priced. You can get the same produce cheaper in supermarkets. The cafe however is a different story, was not shown to our seats by staff just told to sit anywhere and someone would come to take our order, after 20 minutes and another couple coming in and getting served before us, no one came to our table so we got up and left, even walking past staff who were disinterested, and more than happy to drink their coffee/hot chocolate in front of us. I can only imagine that it was good as I never got to try anything myself.Would not recommend this place to anyone.

Excellent garden centre selling an extensive range of quality plants & products for the garden & home. Everything is well laid out, the staff & owner and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and there is a large cafe for quality refreshments with toilet facilities. The car park has more than ample parking spaces and the displays & features at Christmas are always amazing to see. Visits recommended!

I like this garden centre. It has a well laid out tarmac car park. The garden centre is much bigger than it looks from the outside. It had a big area for outdoor plants and flowers, as well as ornaments and plant pots. It also has a range of tools and soils/addatives. It is well laid out and easy to navigate around. Inside is even more interesting (or was for me anyway!). It has little sections including house plants (not as much selection as the outdoor plants but it is better than some I've been to), a farm shop with baked goods and beer, kids toys and puzzles and candles/ornaments. Some bits seemed expensive while other bits were reasonable. I've already decided this is where I will go to make Christmas hampers for friends and family. Charming place with a lot inside. Staff were nice too.
