The Hamers Arms in Bury

Was up there Sat 16/07/22 met up with some old Army mates great day the staff here are fantastic, been up a few times since it reopened lovely pub dog friendly if you want to bring your best friend in with you going back later in week for lunch

Fantastic day at the Hamers Arms - Jonathan and Jason the general manager along with the bar staff were exceptional - friendly, great service and couldn’t have done enough for us all! Food was great and an amazing day was had by all - definitely be back when we are in the area.

I paid a visit to the Hamers Arms today to have a look at the new refurbishment and it’s absolutely fantastic. They have managed to breathe new life into this little diamond which sits in the heart of Summerseat and i had the most delightful experience. I had the sirloin steak withe peppercorn sauce which was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. The front of house staff were polite and attentive as were the bar staff. The chef also came out to speak to me and asked how the food was, a nice little touch right there. The licensee, Mr Wolstenholme, came over to speak to me and welcomed me to the pub. He, and his staff, went out of their way to make my visit a very enjoyable one and i have made the Hamers Arms my new favourite pub where I’ll be making regular visits. Top marks all round

I have made numerous visits to the newly refurbished Hamers Arms since it opened.I have tried various items from their menu and found them all to be absolutely delicious and well presented. I would literally try everything on there !! Their choice of drinks is superb, Guinness being my favourite, cask ales and ‘Neck Oil’ are fantastic drinks. The staff are really attentive and courteous which adds to the experience, Jason, after preparing the food came to ask if i was happy. He has done this every time which i find a very nice touch. There’s also a really nice beer garden that doubles up as a sun trap when it’s hot.There is karaoke on as well as quiz night and featured singers on Saturday, Jonathan (Licensee) and his team have gone all out to make the Hamers a really great place to visit. Top marks from a very well travelled and experienced reviewer.

Called today for lunch with my son.First time but will not be my last.Lovely food, polite staff.The building has been renovated and it is lovely.Good value food, fresh and tastyHighly recommend.

Had a brilliant night last night in the Hamers Arms, first time here, great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff great service and to top it off live music, even dog friendly, definitely will visit again, a massive thank you to landlord and his staff 👍👍

Came in today off the east lancs railway. Excellent ambience, lovely place and attentive friendly staff. Lovely place would recommend to anyone

We went in today with my mother in law for some lunch. The place looks absolutely stunning with he refurb and I wish it well. The new chef is still finding her feet, but the food was delicious. The chips were a little cold and slightly overdone - which would be fine with chunky chips, but not fries.The mother in law had the haddock and said it was one of the best she has ever had. The batter was absolutely perfect. A big thumbs up for the rhubarb crumble as well. Very nice. We will definitely be back - to check the chips. :)

We went to the Hamers Arms when it was recommended to us which was just after it’s grand reopening in May and I can definitely say it was well worth the journey, this is a proper country style looking pub restaurant with a modern clean, fresh looking feel to it on the inside which combined with a great atmosphere, super friendly staff, great ale, awesome food with generous sized portions made this an enjoyable evening for us all. I do like my pub grub and this is definitely well worth a visit so hats off to all the staff and chef and don’t change a thing, you’ve nailed it. 👍🏻🍻

This place has hit the heights a number of us have hoped it would for a while, it’s appending inside that bookcase feature room is spectacular and the food is fantastic, this is in our top 3 and will be a regular haunt now.Be back soon 🤗 and thanks
