Food was tasty though chips were cold.

Had a lovely meal today .. I had cheese and onion pie..my friend had rag pudding ..both delicous and lovely chips ...hate the skinny chips 🍟 the lady that served us was very polite and asked if all was ok ..very nice all round

One of my favourite places to go for food. Nice simple menu, awesome food everytime, never had a bad meal and all reasonably priced. What you waiting for, stop reading this and get down there 👌🙌🍻

On my second visit to the hare & hounds today we went for food at lunchtime it's a great pub the ambiance is very welcoming both times we had a great meal staff are polite helpfull attentive the food was delicious beautiful.cooked and well presented all arrived in good time too I loved the place and will continue to visit highly recommended

Went for my sons 18th last Sunday the 20th of Feb,the food wasn't the best we've had much better from there.me and my mother inlaw had fish and salad the batter was soggy and my sons friend and father in law had the steak, neither were impressed,very fatty and tough.My sons and daughter had sausage and mash which was delish and the just chicken nugget meals were great.We'll still cone back as its a great pub...fabulous atmosphere and the staff are great too.

Had lunch here today served by very pleasant, helpful waiting staff. Good selection of main meals & lighter dishes. We chose a small portion gammon, egg & garden peas & chips and a small portion battered fish, chips & mushy peas. Served quickly and piping hot. It's nice to have the option of large or small portion dishes, particularly at lunchtime. We will certainly be back.

Fantastic food. Great service. And dog friendly which is an added bonus! Never had a less than excellent meal here.

Very nice place to spend some time with family and friends, drinking some beer.

This was our first visit to the Hare & Hounds - we were looking to make a local booking at short notice and our first two choices couldn't accomodate our party of eight. The pub was quite quiet on arrival, and is fairly small on the inside split into a cosy restaurant type area with an open fire, and a more open bar style area.Our party was seated at a table in the bar area which had a large flat screen TV above it. An inauspicious start. There's no table service here, so you order your food at the bar.The order was for two Sunday roasts (one beef, one lamb), two cheese and onion pies, a lamb baguette and a rag pudding, plus two kids meals. All came out relatively quickly, and were all very decent and good value.The desserts were a little more hit and miss. We'd ordered a strawberry cheesecake, Belgian chocolate tart, fudge cake and sticky toffee pudding. The cheesecake and chocolate tart were quite bland - it was difficult to discern much of a taste of anything from either which is quite an accomplishment for a chocolate dessert.
