The Lock Keeper in Bury

Food was nice; portions were not as large as I would have expected. Poor selection pf beers. Not one real ale. And for a pub in the North, a shocking selection of one bitter, and one stout. Only beers they had were larger, bottled cider, John smiths and Guinness.

Had a really nice visit to this place about a month ago, then a not so great visit as play centre was full (wasn’t there fault I suppose) then another great visit today. Staff are really polite and friendly and made us feel ever so welcome. Will defo call again

Lovely food and drink. Couple of local youths being loud but overall great place. Kids loved the play area

Wow what a difference 2 years makes. Before covid closed restaurants this place was not the place i would bring my family for food and drinks. Now this has changed totally. Enjoyable food and drinks served by friendly approachable staff. We will visit again and again if this standard of food and service keeps up

Great late lunch with family food was excellent and plenty of it I had the golden years menu for over 60's starter or dessert and a main for £4.99 and my grandson and his gf had the 2 mains for £11 , brilliant value for money and great staff too nothing is too much trouble and they actually looked like they enjoyed their jobs which all goes to making your hour or so in there so much better , thank you for great service and great food

The service was lovely and the environment pleasant but the food was not especially nice, it wasnt awful though. My son really enjoyed the chocolate brownie and the icecream however.I was really impressed that we were able to have a closed off area to ourselves, it really helped with sensory difficulties.

The food was good but the chips and beans were not warm enough wouldn't go again. Following the management response I offer this further clarification. The staff were great. Some of the chairs were beyond being called chairs they were in terrible condition. This is a family type Sizzler with built on play areas etc as opposed to other Sizzlers that are more adult based type. It was just adequate but nowhere near as good as other Sizzlers

Really enjoyed the food ordered the surf and turf came out to perfection on a hot sizzling skillet. Staff was really friendly and very helpful keep up the hard work massive turn around this place has done.

Came here today big car park, kids play area is still closed tho there is an outdoor one in the beer garden. Place looks tired in need of an upgrade. Service was shocking had a table booked for 615 no one came to serve us so we had a go on the app drinks come straight away but food took well over an hour without a word from any one place was busy tho so took that into account. Order ice cream Sunday afterwards when place wasn't as busy and it still took over 40 minutes for an ice cream! Shocking shocking service! Been plenty of places for food but this was one of the worst service I've had. They say you only get your table 2 for hours slot we was there nearly 3 hours! Was so fed up in the end. 100% would not return!
