I asked for cannelloni which was described as pancake filled with mince a spinach. Sadly I could find neither ingredient! When I mentioned this to the waitress she became very defensive and said the filling was put through a blender hence the filling was gravy! She then said the people on the table behind me had not complained. I am shocked at the attitude and feel they should consider peoples views constructively. Very disappointed

The worst pizza ever!!! It was very probably a frozen pizza. Almost uneatable. Nice music and nice location but we wanted to leave as soon as possible. Difficult to call it an Italian restaurant !!!

Unfortunately the food we got was of very poor quality and did not taste authentic at all.Not very welcoming staff and did not accept criticism when told about the quality of food.Do not go if you wish to eat real Italian food.

I have been here several times staying in a local hotel for work and having eaten in many restaurants across the country and abroad I really enjoy coming back here. The food is excellent and freshly made; always consistent, reminding of being in Italy. If I ever wish to alter a dish the staff are always very attentive and helpful. Looking forward to being back in Carlisle to come here again.

Best Pizzas in Carlisle. The family love the pizzas here, freshly baked fresh dough and the tomato sauce for the base is full of flavour and lots of toppings to choose from. We come in here every Saturday and even if they are busy they always try to squeeze us in, friendly staff and the restaurant is always spotlessly clean.

It was great to see that Franco's were still following the guidelines through these hard times, the staff were wearing face masks and the track and trace was clearly placed with provision for those without the app and also the use of paper menus. This makes it more comfortable given the situation knowing that they are doing what they can. The food and service was great and the artwork on the walls inside made us feel like we were in Venice with the canals and gondolas also nice Italian music being played in the background. Looking forward to coming back.

We came here for a 60th birthday party and we had a great time, a member of our party was dairy and gluten free and the staff were really helpful in finding them an tasty meal. The meals were all full of flavour and there were lots of options on restaurant's vegan and gluten free menus, we would highly recommend here with their excellent service.

We managed to get a table here having not booked, but it wasn't quite so I think booking ahead to avoid disappointment would be sensible. The atmosphere was warm with Italian homey vibes with a good volume of music the temp was a little high for me but probably fine for most. The loos were clean, however there is one lady's and one gents that see up the stairs near the kitchen, the stairs are in regular use from waiting staff so be mindful, also the light was switched off while I was using the lady's (I was thankful for my phone torch at this point) as the light switch for some reason is on the out side wall..just a minor hiccupThe staff were a little rushed but given this they were still attentive and professionalThe food was delicious, cooked well and presented nicely. I made a request for a change of pasta type to my favourite and they accommodated gracefullyI would definitely dine here again.

Very underwhelming. The staff were pleasant however my order of pasta in a creamy sauce, with broccoli and mushrooms was very bland and the cream was not cooked out. (I added salt which did not help the overall taste) Having eaten about 5 bites in total I could not eat anymore, I asked for some chips instead.I didn’t argue about it but no one said they would tell the chef or asked if I wanted anything else and I still had to pay for the meal I couldn’t eat plus the chips.I don’t expect to be going back.
