A long established Carlisle business, the waft of roasting coffee beans has been a feature of the city centre for many, many years. Great food, lovely traditional shop, exceptional coffee and tea and a wide range of flavours and styles available to be ground and taken away.

Great little spot! My daughter and I were visiting from Canada, and were strolling around Carlisle for a day. We came upon this little place, and popped in for a bite. The food was great, and the servers were very friendly and cheerful. Lovely spot to sit and relax for a bit. Will visit again someday for sure!

Nice staff, helpful, relaxing atmosphere scones to die for and pot of tea for Two! Three cups each! Now that was value.

Slightly quaint and nostalgic decor with old photographs on the walls and old packaging displayed on a high shelf, but very good for a snack or a coffee. Being a tea and coffee merchant they have a huge range of both. Very efficient and attentive staff and good food. Well worth a visit.

We popped in for brunch and although we had missed the window for a cooked breakfast (breakfast is only served until 11:30am) we were happy to stay put & order something else. The place was pretty busy but I didn't consider it busy enough to warrant such poor service. We were seated fairly quickly but from there, our experience went quickly downhill. It took quite some time for our order to be taken but we were gabbing so that wasn't the end of the world however, all three dishes were delivered at different times. My friend's order was wrong - She's vegetarian and specifically asked for cheese instead of bacon in her croissant but was given both cheese *and* bacon so that was sent back.We ordered a pot of tea for two but we struggled to get a cup each from the small teapot. We asked for milk twice and only managed to secure some when my pal, got up from her seat & asked for a third time.Another member of staff informed us that there was no more croissants so my friend settled on a cheese sandwich but my the time her food arrived, our other friend & I had both finished eating. The food was decent (I had a prawn sandwich on bread bread, our pal had a bacon sandwich & my friend finally received a cheese sandwich) but the service was so underwhelming that I doubt we'll ever return.

Warm, welcoming and and all round friendly place and amazing food with a wide selections on herbal teas and creamy coffee's. Today me and my family have had a full English breakfast and it was exquisite, I recommend the Japanese cherry tea to wash it down with. The staff as all so lovely and all hands on board when you step in and I'm please to say I will definitely be coming here again.

We had lunch here a couple of days ago. We both ordered baked potatoes with cheese. Someone came to take our order almost as soon as we were seated, and our order arrived very quickly after that. They were delicious, a good size and were served with a side salad with dressing. The prices were very good value. We also bought fresh coffee beans to take away with us. Wonderful coffee. Good quality. Will definitely be coming back.

Great coffee. Helpful staff. Free filter coffee refills which is always appreciated. Quaint and olde worlde appearance. Can sometimes be busy and a little cramped, but well worth a visit at quieter moments.

·

Excellent coffee shop and cafe with a wide range of coffees and teas, food looks great particularly the scones! A trip to the toilet is well worth it due to walking through a time warp of coffee, tea, biscuit and Hobart curios. A rare gem of a find and well worth a visit.

Perfect place to kick-start your day ! This deli and cafe hosts a gazillion varieties of teas and coffees .. smelling like a pot of freshly brewed coffee, this cafe is a cosy place with a fantastic ambience! We had their English Breakfast which is served with black coffee, toasted banana bread and hot chocolate .
