La Baguette Bar in Carlisle

Wow not sure if this place has changed hands but it’s definitely gone downhill horrible and overpriced definitely won’t be going back.

The guy who answered the phone was a miserable unhelpful rude guy will not be going back ever

I love a good sandwich shop, so much nicer than the larger chains. Nice fresh baguettes plenty of different fillings and out door seating.

Baguettes are lovely but the staff maybe need better conditions of work as they come across a quite intentionally rude and dismissive.

I used to love going to baguette bar, always welcoming and large portions but now the current staff are so miserable, no smile or hello and they don't listen. Waiting to get served and I was about to give my order when someone else walked in who the staff member knew and proceeded to serve them! By the time I got served I had to repeat my order 3 times as she was to busy chatting. It's sad as I used to love the place but the lack of any customer service has put me off.

Baguettes and fillings are always nice but sometimes more attention needs to be paid by the staff as every other order seems to have a mistake when my friends and I go here. Staff are usually friendly but if there is someone they are friends with in the shop don’t expect them to pay you much attention.

Food good, service rubbish unless you happen to know the staff. Their attention was on their friend they were talking to, not the customer they were serving. That was my first visit and hence I have not been back again... and never will

La baguette bar is very lucky that they are getting 2 stars! The customer service here is absolutely disgraceful nowadays!! I'd already recently heard new negative comments about the place but thought I'd give it a chance as I've been a few times in the past. Really wish I hadn't bothered! The snotty sour faced rude woman working was snappy unfriendly and just rude as hell! My mother was ordering for us. She told the woman her choice first. Then she shouted 'next' to my mother without making eye contact or a smile at any point. I took over and told her my choice and added onto the end 'and a smile'. Had to be said! Only good thing is the fillings which are substantial.

Food here is always great and the portion sizes are amazing, the staff are always chatty and the loyalty card is really great value. The best salads in town too so filling and normal not anything overly fancy.

Gone right down hill, staff gloomy, disinterested and acted as if they were being put out!!! baguette was hanging out of a ripped bag, prices still a premium though... champagne prices for a lemonade quality & service!!! Won't be back
