Lounge on the Green in Carlisle

What a lovely experience. The food was delicious and of a high quality. Thank you.

We were back to 'Lounge on the Green' for their seven course dinner menu, this time with the additional wine flight. As previously the food was superb, served in a timely way so you never felt rushed or hanging around for the next course. Portions were sized just right so you were neither left hungry or over-stuffed.The wine flight was also well matched to the food as you would expect, and as my partner doesn't like red wine they replaced them with suitable whites without quibble. In particular the Hungarian Tokay Furmint and the Elysium Black Muscat were particularly memorable.Some may see the wine flight as an expensive option, however consider that the chef and sommelier are working together and combining their experience to ensure that you are getting something that compliments each course, and to make it an integral part of the experience. Each course comes with a different wine, so at the very worst you are getting the opportunity to sample a wide range of different wines and you may discover new favourites. If you enjoy the food, do try the wine flight.

Absolutely stunning food. Nothing like this in the area. Great skill and presentation. Might appear expensive but worth every penny if you appreciate fine dining. Lovely server too.

Excellent meal and very courteous staff...a fine dining experience...been today...3 December... beautiful meal..... it's very good........been again for lunch this time... Friday 18th February....tasting menu superb... excellent and friendly staff....all very professional....

Can't knock the food and the hostess was really pleasant... But the atmosphere was non-existent, there were literally two other couples in the whole night, we spent most of the meal being the only people in there which ruined the experience for me. Id like to go back but as I'd like to experience the place at full capacity, but the thought of it being empty again is putting me off.

Excellent food, we have been many times and every time the menu has been beautifully curated and delicious. I can highly recommend the service from Rachel - who is very good at what she does, always on the ball and single handedly ran an evening in the restaurant all by herself and provided each table with great service even though she was on her own.

Great tasting menu on Wednesdays and Saturdays with friendly and attentive staff. The quality of food and service was outstanding, quite the experience and worth a try.

Treated to dinner on my birthday. Absolutely fabulous! Friendly, attentive staff, tasteful decor, easy parking and not-too-loud music. Not only was my food delicious and beautifully presented and the wine perfect; my dessert was brought in with three out candles, and the staff joined in with singing me a happy birthday! Superb.
