Was served by a young lad called Scott in Kingstown foodhall. He served an elderly lady before me and showed lots of respect and kindness to her. It was lovely to see. He helped me when I couldn't remember what my "free" gift was and went into the store to get it for me.Well done Scott.

Parking is not Free, I drove for 1hr 40 mins to meet my friend who had driven 1hr 30 mins as it said parking was free and it was a half way point across country to meet. We had breakfast there then shopped and spent much money then had lunch. We had a great catch up while shopping. Only to find we have both received £100 fines in the post because we stayed 22 mins over the time limit that we didnt realise was in place. We had intended to visit regularly as we live so far apart but never again. We feel totally cheated as I picked that place because it said free parking and was within easy access for noth of us. Not happy at all....

EXCELLENT SERVICE ~ Margaret Grieve 🌟I struggle with shopping due to having ME.Earlier today I went to the M&S food hall at Kingston in Carlisle. When I walked inside I felt quite daunted at the prospect of having to shop. A lovely assistant came over straight away to ask if I needed any help. She led me to a quiet area of the store and proceeded to find every item on my list for me without me having to move from my trolley. She then helped me through the checkout and took the shopping to the car for me. What an excellent service. It’s wonderful to have lovely people out there prepared to go above and beyond to help willingly and with a smile. I asked her name... Margaret Grieve ... Well Margaret, if you’re reading this I just want to say a massive thank you for helping me. You have made my day! Have a lovely Christmas 🎄

Yet again their answer to people management during covid is to 1/2 the disabled parking spaces at a time of year when they are most needed. Still Aldi have plenty and their gins £6 cheaper

Tiny cafe but it makes up for lack of space with great service and good food. The staff are very pleasant and keep it clean and tidy. The saying "Small Is Beautiful" is appropriate.

I visited the cafe in store on 15/8/21 and noted that despite the continuing threat of Covid, they had decided to reduce the size of the cafe and place a smaller number of tables very close together. There was one very pleasant lady working the cafe but she was under pressure which meant that tables were not cleared and looked messy.I raised the reduction in size of the cafe area with a large gentleman behind the customer service desk, I took him to be a manager. He was not overly pleasant and informed me in a way that I felt was patronising, that Covid restrictions have now been terminated by the government.( Really ?!)He obviously wished to be rid of me and said that the cafe is under review. In my opinion, the decision to place a smaller number of tables closer together need reversed, not reviewed. Two ends of the spectrum in customer service - lovely lady on her own doing her best in the cafe, complete antithesis to a gent who needs a customer service refresher in my honest opinion.

Loved it. It is what M&S do really well. Their food is terrific. Was able to get what I needed and the shelves + choice available was excellent. I used the café and the food I ordered was quickly prepared and served. Good social distancing measures in place in the food hall. Member of staff manning the entrance and informed me that the basket was sanitised.

Good queue management and not too crowded inside. Avoid peak hours though. Parking is not great here, although it is free, especially as the Covid queue now covers the disabled parking making customers with disabilities have to park further away.

The store is clean spacious and a great choice of food. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, in these times having to queue and social spacing, the staff are brilliant so helpful understanding . They are a credit to Mark's and Spencer's. Their job is far from easy now but still a smile and a very friendly conversation. Well done to them all.
