I've starting coming here once a week now ..I'd not get a kebab and chips from anywhere else now.Kebabs are huge with nice fresh salad .Proper chips .All the traditional chippy stuff is fresh and cooked to order.

Was only visiting Carlisle for a few days, and really fancied fish and chips. This was a great choice as the quality was good, and the portions generous.

You changed tills very narrow parh to tills.If people are there with trollies ypu need more space.I fear not very accessible for wheelchair drivers.

Used to be really nice now the chips are all hard and been reheated I think nothing about my order was nice the whole 20 quid of food went straight in the bin waste of money

I can honestly say I understand why"OAKDALE CHIPPY" 🍟Is Number one 🏆 chippy inNOTTINGHAM 🦆AND IN 10% WORLDWIDE 🌐The food was excellent & to perfection,only the other night 🌙we, ordered fish & chips, chicken tandoori kabba + a little to nibble,so we ordered the the chippy box, for the kids (pluss us) it was value for money 💰if you haven't yet tried the 'Oakdale Chippy Box' ur missing out, there's enough within its servings, trust me 😋Complaints to the chef 👈🏽

Tasty food at a reasonable price. To be honest I'd give them 4 stars if they accepted cards but they don't. Strange in this day and age. Even stranger that you can pay by card if you order online but not if you just walk in???

Haven't eaten here yet but when collecting an item from the back section of the chippy by Trafford Fireplaces a fella sat out back (30's? short black hair) helped us load our car and gave us a bungee tie down for nothing in return. Very friendly and positive experience.

Whenever I am in Carlisle I try to make it to this Chippy. Friendly staff and fresh food, crispy batter and good chips, not to mention a choice of 2 types of curry source. My personal favourite is a large battered sausage and chips with a carton of Chinese curry sauce. (It's best to dip into the curry rather than have it poured over the top I find, but each to their own. )
