Very disappointed. Had the cumbria breakfast with black pudding. The black pudding was like a hockey puck all the way through and the sausage was over done too. Also the mushroom was swimming in dirty grey juice. Before anyone says "why didn't you complain?" ,we had a grumpy 3 year old with us and it was busy. Speaking of the 3 Yr old....we asked for child's portion of scrambled egg,which the lovely lady said was not a problem....THEN CHARGED £9.50 FOR IT! I've eaten it the cafes in town as well as the so-called reputable branded ones....and unfortunately this was the least enjoyable one by far.

The food here is very good but there are days when you truly wonder about the work ethic of some of the staff. I hasten to point out that this is just a few of them, mostly they are very good.

Love bringing my little boy swimming here each week. Lovely warm, clean pool and the staff are lovely.Beautiful farm shop with fresh produce that looks and tastes amazing not to mention the little gift shop and cafe.The cafe serves delicious, fresh food. There isn't a particularly extensive menu however it is very nice. Highly recommend for coffee and lunch or afternoon tea and the staff are lovely, always accomadating, pleasant and helpful 😊

Stopped off here as mid journey non motorway break. Excellent service and fare in the cafe. Very pricey farm shop too which we just looked around!

A lovely relaxed cafe. Shared a ploughman's lunch with my husband, it was a big portion so more than enough. Very friendly staff too

Unfortunately the items my partner could eat on the menu we were told were unavailable after we'd ordered. We had to cancel our food order and go elsewhere which was very disappointing and made us feel very awkward. The hot chocolate was nice, the young lady serving us was lovely and the restaurant was spotless just let down by the lack of food available at lunch time on a Saturday. Also £2.45 for a can of coke is pretty scandalous!

Good food and drinks in cafe, lots of new staff so they seem a bit unsure of the menu, but all good, we all have to learn. Bit pricey. £35+ 2 breakfasts and 4 coffees. Good stop off before carlisle though.

A fantastic find on the main road between Wigton and Carlisle: a cafe with a lovely and fairly extensive menu at very reasonable priced in delightful premises attached to a farm shop, also with a wide range of farm and local produce. The food was quickly and well served by friendly staff. The premises are all on one level with very accessible washroom facilities meaning the whole place is ideal for those with limited abilities.
