The Base Pizzeria and Grill in Carlisle

I was ordering a burger at piza base until I realised they where going to charge me an extra 60p for fried onions on my burger, so I cancelled my order and went elsewhere that didn’t rob its customers. No one should be buying from any takeaway establishment that charge you extra for fried onions on their burger and if they are going to charge you extra for more than one sauce on your kebab do the same go elsewhere. Ask yourself a question, “ would you be happy to pay extra for salt and vinegar on your fish and chips at the chippy?”These clowns will continue to rob their customers with added on extra payments for what should be included in the price for as long as their customers are willing to pay for them… JUST DO THE SENSIBLE THING AND SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED CASH ELSEWHERE .

Ordered a takeaway from here told them I was isolating and offered to pay over the phone gave my number to them as usual the woman said to still pay the driver when he arrived .thy told me the driver would ring to sort out delivery and payment.Waited 1 hour and nothing turned up ,so I tang again to be told it had left and shouldn't be long .after another half hour I rang again and was told it was not sent because I was isolating thy needed to be payed up front.I told the woman that I had offered to pay at time of ordering and she made no comment to thatI said why didn't you ring me ,and thy said my phone didn't work ,but it did when I rang it .I have been a loyal customer of 20 years to them and this how thy treat you in your hour of need . We really fancyed at takeaway to cheer ourselves up

They dont have any sense of making a pizza. Tomato sauce is spread all over. Toppings were thrown over the pizza. It was neither stuff crusted nor thin crusted. They over charged me. Said, it will be £8.50 including delivery but charged me £2 for delivery. The driver couldn't speak English at all when I argued him about price. I'm been truthful overall, it's a really bad experience 👎👎👎

This company needs to get some staff on the telephone that sounds interested in their job. They sound very bored and disinterested. I would not order anything from someone who gives the impression that customers are a bore. The owners should get someone incognito to ring up their shop and see how they are treated. They may be in for a surprise.!!

I love the halloumi wraps and burgers, and their pizzas are fab. Friendly and helpful staff, quick delivery

Nothing is ever too much trouble for pizza base . They have great customer service

The pizza is amazing. We moved to you from the Warwick because your pizzas are delicious. Your delivery time is quick. My husband swears by you! I want to thank the Welsh guy who rang me today to offer me a change to my order due to no tango iceblast. I cannot believe you put a bag of ice in for me! That is superb customer service. I had an issue with my most recent order.. Spoke to the manager & was instantly resolved with no question. Fantastic customer service, well done. I will continue to use this take away restaurant, never had any problem before. Very professional, polite manner. Impressive to say the least. Thank you

Kindly asked them to leave food at doorstep and not ring the bell or knock as my partner and 2 year old were asleep. Driver was then heard shouting down the phone to the shop asking why there was nobody at the door. He then hammered on the door waking everyone up. Complete lack of communication and not for the first time!

Requested an order that I have had for many years and was told that order had never been done before.Paid via card and didn't recieve confirmation of payment before they hung up, so I called back to get verification.Asked for a read back of my order as I was worried that it would be incorrect.When my order came to my door, it was incorrect and the driver was unaware that I had already paid for it.If it was possible to give less than 1 star, I would.Lost my custom.
