The Lowther Arms Country Inn in Carlisle

Went here for a meal, food was delicious and well priced, staff were very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to having many more meals here!!

When care is put in it is blatantly obvious. Great food, great staff, great service, super clean, has to be one of the best looked after Pubs/Inns I have ever been in. Friendly and it is quite clear that a lot of thought, time and effort has been put into this place, inside and out. Well done.

Just a drink and supper. Welcoming landlord, seemingly battling staff shortages as so many are, was very hands on. Good service none the less. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the food doesn't appear to be chef cooked: there is an extensive menu and blackboard specials too but the dishes we had were "commercial" in origin.Nice wee garden for al fresco dining.
