Great burgers, aged almost game like beef. Originally decorated place and friendly service.

Very nice food. However, at 3 minutes to 8 o’clock we were informed they needed our table back at 8 o’clock. We had too leave our drinks and pay our bill. Very bad customer service wouldn’t recommend.

This restaurant called us on Saturday night to tell us the 730pm reservation for Sunday that we were ABLE TO BOOK ONLINE wasn't valid as they close at 630pm and could we move our reservation to 630pm? We said sure no problem, even though we were hiking Hadrian's Wall Path, and wasn't sure we could make it. We arrived to find out that the KITCHEN CLOSED AT 630PM AND THEY COULDN'T SERVE US!!! WHY CHANGE THE RESERVATION TO THAT TIME THEN!

Nice enough, but not sure I would go back in a rush.The food didn't blow my socks off, it was nothing special, just ok.I did go for the biggest burger they had, but it was definitely a case of quantity of quality. Chips were waaaaaaaaaay over seasoned and meat was on dry side.Staff are friendly.Clean.It cost £40 for 2 pints and 2 of these burgers.

The boozy bottomless brunch is amazing. Plenty of choice for food and cocktails. The menu changes each time the brunch is on

Wonderful atmosphere, stunning food and friendly staff

Very disappointed, not with the food or the service but with the fact we had just finished our puddings when we were told we had ten minutes to leave the table. We had spent a lot of money on our lunch and weren't told either when we booked the table or when we ordered our food that there were time restrictions, I'm just pleased we didn't order starters which we quite often do when we eat out, most of our party still had drinks to finish which they tried to clear away.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere. Great selection of gluten free food which is what drew me as a coeliac. I just wish the waiting staff was more confident when handling allergies so I could feel less worried about the food. But other than that can no fault

Ordered the Valentine's takeaway. Beautiful food and great value for what we got. We will definitely be back.

During a flying visit to Carlisle, my family & I had lunch at The Old Bank with its cool & stylish interior. Using good seasonal produce, I highly recommend the beef & black pudding pie, which was simply delicious, great flavouring, well seasoned & presented, and a generous portion. Of the puddings, the crumble and the cheese cake stood out.
