Brilliant night watching the Queen Tribute night. Bar spot on, toilets good. Plenty of dance space when open back curtains.

Went twice to work events. The venue is good and the food on both occasions very good. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely look at events they hold to visit out of work.

Cracking night here at the "Don't stop Queen now" Queen tribute act gig. Bar service really good and sound quality of band was spot on.

This venue really is a hidden gem in the historic quarter of Carlisle. Brilliant mix of gigs to suit all ages, easy access and good parking right outside. I think it is great for hosting private and corporate events during the day too. Staff are very attentive and professional, the venue offers good technology for sound and visual and has intimate spaces for the more intimate event such as a wedding or celebration of life gatherings. No idea is too weird or wonderful for this venue so take your ideas to them.

Great venue for Carlisle. Well priced drinks at the bar, modern facilities and helpful friendly staff, not sure you can ask much more!

Absolutely fantastic venue with wonderful acoustics. Superb facilities including bar, cloakroom, dedicated smoking area if required and very clean WC. The staff were friendly, cheerful and super helpful. The location was surprisingly warm too, which was definitely a bonus on this occasion. Located just off the City Centre. Easy short walk from both the train station and buses, lots of accommodation in close proximity with Travel Lodge, Premier Inn and others on the cities outskirts. I would absolutely recommend this venue and will definitely attend again. The venues schedule shows it hosts a variety of events covering all tastes and many entertainment genres.

Food - 3/5Ambiance - 3/5Accessibility - 5/5Cost - 4/5Service - 4/5Summary - 4/5Once a fire station for Carlisle, it is now an arts and entertainment venue. When I visited, part of the ground floor area was sectioned off and a baby 'disco' was being held! Besides the function area, the ground floor also holds the box office and the McGrew's restaurant where I stopped for lunch. The Hunter chicken burger was okay; good portion, reasonable price. Upstairs, there are more functions rooms and also the Carlisle Contemporary Art gallery (free to visit). Tip: Visit the website and read about the history of the place. Overall, it's a good place, well maintained/staffed and seems like a decent venue for various activities. The history side to the fire station is also interesting!
