This is a traditional style village pub. But with an up to date modern menu.There are different menus for lunch and evening. We visited for lunch and had to book a table for the four of us.The service was excellent and the food didn't take too long to come to us and was very fresh. The meal was lovely and we will definitely be back

Went 16 of us yesterday for Christmas day luncheverything was a perfect day except our main Christmas Dinner was all the veg was hard parsnips Brussels carrots gravy was like pouring water tasteless ,some got stuffing on plate some never & roasties some never got pudding my wife ordered gingerbread brulee ended up with cheeseboardStaff were luvly very friendly but sorry won't be back

Highly recommend! The staff are lovely and were really kind and helpful.The food was absolutely delicious and the portion size just right!It has a lovely, warm, welcoming atmosphere and I loved it as soon as I stepped foot through the door.The pricing is also reasonable too.If you can't decide where to go for a meal then this is where you need to head 🍴😍!A fully deserved 5* from me (and my baby)!

We were on our way from North Yorkshire to Scotland & half way we got hungry. We didn’t fancy fast food & wanted a nice meal. This came up locally on our Google maps for restaurant. And honestly it didn’t disappoint.Service was amazing. Staff were so nice & checked up on you and chatted. Food was amazing. The toilets were amazing & smelt so fresh. The whole pub was clean & tidy & very homey. Honestly 10/10 for everything.

Comfortable Country pub serving traditional quality pub food.They also have a camping site outside with breakfast options.Lovely setting just on the outskirts of Carlisle.We had a meal for 4, Gammon Steak, Steak and Ale Pie, a gourmet burger and a Teriyaki Salad with some local ales.No complaints whatsoever, all good stuff. And we'll drop in again next time we are looking to eat out and in the area 👍

Nice place to eats in. Amazing staff. We have ordered 2 starters they were absolutely amazing, Roast dinner not soo much chicken was too chewy and roast potatoes were reheated which makes them hard and uneatable. Nothing special apart from starters
